  • Patent number: 11190653
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for capturing an image within the context of a document. The computing device identifies an image field within the document displayed in a user interface (UI). The image field is operable to display live input received from a camera. In response to receiving a first input from a user selecting the image field of the document, the UI of the computing device displays the live input from the camera within the image field of the document in the context of other portions of the document displayed outside of the image field. Controls are provided by the computing device with which the user can adjust various characteristics of the live input. In response to receiving a second input from the user, the computing device captures the image from the live input displayed within the image field of the document.

  • Patent number: 10853823
Abstract: In various embodiments, readership information is received from consumer devices. The readership information from each consumer device is received over one or more network communications and indicates one or more sections of a published document as being read on the consumer device. The readership information can be from eye-tracking data collected while the digital publication is viewed in a document reader on the consumer device. The readership information is stored in association with the published document. At least some of the stored readership information is sent to a publisher device and indicates a number of times one or more sections of the published document have been read on the consumer devices. The readership information is presented on the publisher device in context to indicate relative readership of the sections on the consumer devices.

  • Publication number: 20180232125
Abstract: Contextual linking of digital representations of objects with documents is described. In one or more implementations, a portion of a document is linked to a portion of a digital representation of an object. The link contains information such as portion locations/coordinates, customized views, hyperlinks, text/notes associated with the link, audio/video associated with the link, and so on. The resulting linked document enables a user to freely navigate between the linked portions through user inputs to either portion and interact with the information associated with the link.

  • Publication number: 20170200244
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein generate an authenticated electronic document from direct messages passed between participants in a social messaging application, such as direct messages in an instant messaging application or in a chain of emails. An electronic signature application executing on a mobile or desktop device receives conversation information from the social messaging application and parses the conversation information to extract a chronological list of direct messages between participants and metadata associated with the messages. The chronological list of direct messages specify the terms of an agreement discussed over instant messaging or over email. The electronic signature application communicates the chronological list of direct messages and the metadata associated with the messages with an electronic signature server over a network to generate an authenticated electronic document.

  • Publication number: 20140030709
Abstract: Present invention relates to the Biomarkers for detecting high altitude adaptation and hypoxia responsiveness and the method thereof. The invention specifically relates to the Gene variants SNPIDs rs479200 and rs480902 in the first intron of EGLN1 (Prolyl Hydroxylase 2) gene as biomarkers for adaptation to high altitude and predisposition for high altitude pulmonary edema and hypoxia responsiveness using a novel integrative approach of phenotyping concepts of Ayurveda with population genetics, and disease genomics. More specifically, the C allele of SNP ID rs480902 and T allele of rs479200 of EGLN1 gene is more frequent in patients of HAPE and nearly absent in native highlanders. The present invention also provides primers and methods suitable for the detection of these allelic variants for the prediction of individual's adaptability to high altitude and hypoxia and/or the genetic analysis of the EGLN1 gene in a population.
