  • Publication number: 20170093811
Abstract: A method for establishing a fully private, information theoretically secure interconnection between a source and a destination, over an unmanaged data network with at least a portion of a public infrastructure. Accordingly, n shares of the source data are created at the source according to a predetermined secret sharing scheme and the shares are sent to the data network, while encrypting the sent data using (n,k) secret sharing. A plurality of intermediating nodes are deployed in different locations over the network, to create a plurality of fully and/or partially independent paths in different directions on the path from the source to the destination, and with sufficient data separation. Then, the shares are sent over the plurality of fully and/or partially independent paths while forcing shares' carrying packets to pass through selected intermediate nodes, such that no router at any intermediating nodes intercepts k or more shares.

  • Patent number: 9280600
Abstract: A system and a method for decompression-free inspection of compressed data are provided herein. The method includes the following stages: obtaining a dictionary file comprising a string of symbols, each associated with a respective index; obtaining at least one delta file associated with said dictionary file, wherein said delta file comprises a sequence of instructions that include at least one copy instruction pointing to an index within said dictionary and a length of a copy substring to be copied; scanning said dictionary using a pattern matching algorithm associated with a plurality of patterns and implemented as a Deterministic Finite Automaton (DFA), to yield DFA execution data; scanning said at least one delta file, using said pattern matching algorithm, wherein said DFA execution data is used to skip at least part of the scanning of the copy substrings for at least one of the copy instructions.

  • Patent number: 8301604
Abstract: An apparatus having a content-addressable memory (CAM) that stores a plurality of entries comprising portions of a plurality of patterns; a memory that stores a shift value corresponding to each of the entries; and a controller that generates a first key based on a received string, applies the first key to the CAM to select an entry of the CAM, retrieves the shift value from the memory corresponding to the selected entry, in response to the shift value being equal to a predetermined value, identifies an initial match, and in response to the initial match corresponding to a first pattern of the plurality of patterns that is larger than the entries of the CAM, applies adjacent keys based on the received string to the CAM, and declares a complete match when each of the corresponding shift values from the memory is equal to the predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 7853578
Abstract: Apparatus having corresponding methods and computer programs, to detect a pattern in a string, comprises a memory circuit to store W-character segments of the pattern, where each segment comprises a fragment of the pattern; a key circuit to generate W-character keys each including a fragment of the string; a comparison circuit to compare the keys and the segments; where, when a segment matches a key, the comparison circuit indicates an initial match between the pattern and the string; and where, when one of the segments matches only a L-character fragment of one of the keys, wherein L<W, the key circuit generates a new key including the L-character fragment and a K-character fragment of the string including K=W?L consecutive characters from the string that are adjacent to the L matching characters in the string.
