    Abstract: An LCD device adapted to improve a residual image matter is disclosed. The LCD device includes an alignment layer aligning the liquid crystal. The alignment layer is formed of an optically aligned composition inclusive of an aromatic compound. Also, the alignment layer undergoes a crosslinking process. In accordance therewith, the thermalization of the alignment layer is improved. As a result, the residual image problem of the LCD device can be solved.
