    Abstract: An electric water pump is configured to reduce an axial distance between a stator and a rotor. Since a separator of a stator casing is formed so as not to cover an upper surface of a stator, the axial thickness of the separator is reduced and the axial distance between the stator and the rotor is also reduced. The reduction in the axial distance allows a motor to have increased output and efficiency.

A B-coil that is a sensor coil is provided at the auxiliary core so as to be positioned inside any one excitation winding of the pair of excitation windings.
