    Abstract: A method for determining a position of a user equipment includes: receiving, by a location server, time difference information for the user equipment from a base station, the time difference information including a difference between a received timing of an uplink frame from the user equipment at the base station and a transmit timing of a downlink frame to the user equipment at the base station; and identifying, by the location server, a serving remote unit among a plurality of remote units, the serving remote unit communicating with the user equipment by using the time difference information and a unique delay that corresponds to each of the remote units.
