  • Patent number: 10040374
Abstract: There is provided a seat slide device capable of stably holding a position of an upper rail as well as a position of a seat. An upper rail (3) has an inclined section (30d) obliquely formed so as to approach an inner surface of a lower rail (2) as going rearward. A displacement member (32) has an abutting section (33) disposed so as to abut on the inner surface of the lower rail (2) and an inclined section (30d). The abutting section (33) abuts on the inclined section (30d) by rearward urging to the displacement member (32) by a tension coil spring (36a). The inclined section (30d) converts urging force received from a tension coil spring (36a) through the abutting section (33) into force in such a direction as to abut on the inner surface of the lower rail (2) to apply the force to the abutting section (33), and the abutting section (33) is made to abut on the inner surface of the lower rail (2) at a time of locking and at a time of unlocking of a lock member (5).

  • Patent number: 8668180
Abstract: A seat slide device is switchable between a locked state and an unlocked state. When the seat slide device in the locked state, a lock member attached to an upper rail is engaged with a lock hole formed in a lower rail. This restricts movement of the upper rail with respect to the lower rail. When the seat slide device is in the unlocked state, the lock member is separated from the lock hole to permit the upper rail to move with respect to the lower rail. In the unlocked state, a gap is formed between a movable portion and the lower rail. In contrast, in the locked state, the movable portion contacts the lower rail and the gap between the movable portion and the lower rail is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7086698
Abstract: A seat device equips a walk-in mechanism and a fold down mechanism (a seatback is turned down with large angle so as to attain the flat condition). These mechanisms can be operated selectively using a simple operation without using plural levers. A base bracket of the seat device is fixed to a lower arm. The base bracket has a stopper and pivotally supports the first link member and the second member in a freely turning way. An upper arm has a contact portion. If the upper arm is turned down in the forward direction for the walk-in operation, the contact portion gets in contact with an intervening member of the first link member so as not to turn further down in the forward direction. In the case that the seatback is turned to the flat condition, the intervening member is moved towards the outside portion of the locus of movement of the contact portion. Consequently, the contact portion of the upper arm can be turned down on a large scale without getting in contact with the intervening member.

  • Patent number: 7017993
Abstract: A seat device is provided, in which a locking condition of an upper rail (2) to a lower rail (1) is released and a seat can be moved in forward direction when a seatback is turned down in forward direction due to a walk in operation. A turning bracket (18) is pivotally supported on the side portion of a lower arm (3) fixed to the upper rail (2). An actuating lever (20) for actuating a lock mechanism is fixed to a turning pin (17) for supporting a turning bracket (18). A cable (15) is connected to the turning bracket (18), a hook member (22) is pivotally supported on the side portion of the lower arm (3), and a detecting member (29) is supported thereby in a turning way. A projecting portion (25) of a hook member (22) can be engaged with or disengaged from a notch portion (31) of a turning bracket (18).

  • Patent number: 6926443
Abstract: A seat slide apparatus for a vehicle includes a lower rail assembled to a vehicle seat, an upper rail slidably engaging with the corresponding upper rail for supporting the vehicle seat, a loop-shaped release handle supported by the upper rail on its end portion for releasing the engagement between the upper rail and the lower rail, and a bracket fixed to the upper rail for detachably supporting the release handle, an opening portion formed on the bracket allowing the end portion of the release handle to pass there through, and a flexible tongue formed on the bracket and adapted to be flexibly movable in vertical direction for engaging with a stopper piece provided at the end portion of the release handle. The current invention uses a technical device for detaching the end portion of the release handle from the bracket fixed to the upper rail for supporting the end portion of the release handle.
