  • Publication number: 20040015302
Abstract: An electromagnetic flowmeter includes a exciting coil, exciting section, and arithmetic processing section. The exciting coil applies a magnetic field to a fluid flowing in a pipe line. The exciting section supplies an exciting current to the coil. The arithmetic processing section calculates a measurement flow rate on the basis of the measurement signal detected from the excited fluid. The arithmetic processing section includes a measurement flow rate calculation section. In calculating a measurement flow rate from the measurement signal, the measurement flow rate calculation section corrects the flow rate calculated from the measurement signal on the basis of one of adjustment coefficients, set in advance in correspondence with current values of exciting currents, which corresponds to a current value of an exciting current by which the measurement signal is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6603865
Abstract: In a system for optically performing position detection and data communication, a transmitting apparatus has first and second light-emitting elements for position indication and data transmission. An image sensing element in a receiving apparatus senses the light-emitting elements. Position is detected from the sensed image of the first light-emitting elements using triangulation, and data communication is performed by blinking the second light-emitting element. This system is used in a hospital where the use of radio waves is restricted or outerspace where the system is exposed to strong electromagnetic waves.

  • Patent number: 5465598
Abstract: An annular member is placed on a forming profile of a convex die without fixing the annular member to the convex die. Then, the convex die is moved toward a concave die which has an axis inclining with respect to an axis of the convex die. When the convex die is moved toward the concave die, the concave die is revolved around the axis of the convex die. The concave die does not revolve about its own axis. Revolving the concave die around the axis of the convex die may be replaced by forcibly rotating the convex die about its own axis. When a compression load is imposed on the annular member, opposed ends of the annular member are formed simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 4986229
Abstract: An apparatus for supplying start fuel for a carburetor in which an internal combustion engine has a fly-wheel with a magneto incorporated therewith. An intake air passage has an electromagnetic valve and this valve is actuated by an output signal of a primary coil of the fly-wheel magneto. In one embodiment, the electromagnetic valve is actuated by an output difference between an output signal of a primary coil produced when a start motor is rotated and an output signal of the primary coil produced when the engine is rotated.

  • Patent number: 4855674
Abstract: A method for process control to minimize hunting using a controller wherein a PID arithmetic operation is performed with respect to a deviation of a setting parameter and a processed variable fed back from a process, and a resultant manipulation variable is applied to the process including the steps of monitoring the waveforms of the setting parameter and the processed variable from the process to obtain an oscillation period of the deviation, identifying process characteristics of the process, obtaining a phase angle of a frequency response of an open-loop transfer function of a system from the oscillation period and the process characteristics, and detecting a hunting of the process by the magnitude of the phase angle.

  • Patent number: 4031998
Abstract: In an automatic conveyor system, a plurality of independently operable carrier or transport structures are interconnected in closed loop configuration. Each carrier includes plural sheets of overlapping slats, each supported by a carriage which allows the slat to pivot for differential vertical flight level movement and tilting to either side for deposition of articles onto selected receiving stations. A plurality of carriages and slats form an independently operable unit to complement the article size structure with one of the slat supporting carriages in each unit having actuating elements in the form of a horizontal arm to each side with a roller which can be deflected for tilting. The single tilting of this arm causes all of the associated slats in that unit to tilt in unison as a result of their overlapping nature.
