Abstract: A backlight processing system and a method thereof are provided. The gray level values of pixels in an input frame signal are adjusted and the brightness thereof is decreased correspondingly. During gray level value adjustment, the gray level values of the pixels in dark regions are reduced, and the gray level values of the pixels in bright regions are increased. During backlight adjustment, first, statistics information on distribution of the gray level value versus the number of pixels is obtained according to the gray level distribution of the original frame. The number of pixels at each gray level is accumulated. When the accumulation value reaches a certain value, a reference signal is obtained. The brightness of the backlight is then adjusted according to the reference signal.

Abstract: An AMOLED driving circuit and driving method adds an additional switching transistor to a 2T1C driving circuit. An additional switching transistor is connected to the high voltage source, a scan line and a node connected a source terminal of a driving transistor of the 2T1C driving circuit and the light-emitting device. The additional switching transistor and an original switching transistor of the 2T1C driving circuit are activated when the scan line outputs high voltage. At the time, a low voltage of a PWM voltage is added to the high voltage source not to drive the driving transistor, and a storage capacitor stores a voltage of the image data signal. When the two switching transistors turn off and a high voltage of the PWM voltage is provided to the high voltage source, the driving transistor is driven to generate a driving current to the light-emitting device.

Abstract: An image processing method is provided for generating multi-color data comprised of three primary-color sub-pixels and a brightness-enhancing sub-pixel, where a combination selected three at a time from these sub-pixels constituting a target pixel for the image processing method. First, a three-color pixel is converted into a four-color pixel, where the sub-pixels of the four-color pixel identical with those of the target pixel are represented by first numerical values, and the sub-pixel of the four-color pixel different to that of the target pixel is represented by a second numerical value. Then, the first numerical values are correlated with third numerical values discarded by neighboring pixels of the target pixel to determine the actual output of the target pixel.

Abstract: A driving circuit of active matrix organic electroluminescence diode is disclosed. Each pixel includes three TFTs and two capacitors. A gate of scan reset TFT is controlled by the scan line of the row where the pixel is located and a drain of scan reset TFT is connected to the data line of the column where the pixel is situated. Detect TFT is controlled by one Threshold-Lock line. One capacitor Cd is used to store data voltage (Vdata) of image signals and the other capacitor Ct is used to store the threshold voltage (Vth) of driving TFT. Therefore, the sum of capacitors Cd and Ct will drive the driving TFT to output the corresponding current to the organic electroluminescence element.

Abstract: A driving apparatus of a multiple-scanning driving circuit relating to a simple pixel structure of 2T1C (2 TFTs and 1 capacitor) includes a write-scan circuit, an erase-scan circuit and a data driving circuit. A write-enable line connected to the write-scan and the data driving circuits is used to control the signals of these two circuits. One erase-enable line connected to the erase-scan and the data driving circuits is used to control the signals of these two circuits. Thus, a circuit system of time-multiplex multiple write-scan and erase-scan is completed to solve the problems of a low time utility rate and an insufficient luminance in a digital driving AMOLED system.

This makes the transistors under the driving conditions of positive/negative-alternating biases so as to restrain the voltage shift of the transistors such that the threshold voltage will not excessively increase along with the increasing operating time. This can not only increase the lifetime of the amorphous silicon thin film transistors but also extend the operating time of the shift circuit.

Abstract: A driving apparatus and method for active matrix organic light emitting display includes a writing element, an auto-zero element, a driving element, a switching element and a storage element. The invention employs an auto-zero mechanism to compensate threshold voltage variations of each driving element to improve image uniformity. Data loading is accomplished by charging the storage element with a current. Loading voltage may be modulated by controlling the amount of current and by controlling charging time. The invention saves a capacitor than conventional techniques, and can increase the aperture ratio of pixels and reduce the complexity of driving method.

The difference values of three colors are added to the neighboring pixels or sub-pixels such that at the same time when the red, green, blue, and white four-color system increases the luminance of the image color, the hue and saturation of the image color can be compensated adequately so that the image color can be very close to the situation of the original red, green, and blue three-color system.

Abstract: A data de-multiplexer and a control method thereof transmit plural image-data signals from an image-data driving element to a plurality of data lines of plural subpixels of a single pixel. The image-data signals time-sharing output to the data lines of the sub-pixels of the single pixel in sequence. Each of the data lines equips a sub-transmission circuit, and the sub-transmission circuits comprise plural switch paths that are controlled by a set of multiplex-control signal. By way of this, each image-data signal from the image-data driving element will transmit to the data line of the subpixel via the time-sharing conduction of the sub-transmission circuits in sequence.

Abstract: The invention relates to the driving circuit and method of an active matrix organic electro-luminescence display. The writing thin film transistor (TFT) gates of all pixels on the scan line are connected to the scan line. The resetting TFT gates of all pixels on the scan line are connected to the front scan line of the previous row. The switching TFT gates of all pixels within the driving block are connected to the block control line of the driving block. The above block division control and pixel driving circuit design can be used to present gray scale by modulating the display time-ratio. This invention makes use of block separation control and pixel driving circuit design to improve the defect of the timing-inefficiency of the existing digital driving technology tremendously.
