    Abstract: A sub-1-mm2 die area is presented. This small die with the compact source network (CSN) and compact load network (CLN) can be fully packaged in a small form factor. Previous solutions have integrated all components into the die with complicated matching and bias networks, resulting in a large and expensive die area. Innovative component merging and compact bond-wire matching in the CSN and CLN have substantially reduced the die size for future massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) small cells. This proposed DPA was designed and fabricated using a commercial 150-nm GaN/silicon carbide (SiC) high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) process to validate architecture and design methodologies.

The phase compensation network comprising a first transmission line section; a second transmission line section extending substantially collinearly with the first transmission line section; and two pairs of end-connected coupled transmission lines connected in parallel between the first transmission line section and the second transmission line section. The provided Doherty power amplifier demonstrated operation at 6 dB back-off between 1.3-2.3 GHz with efficiency in excess of 41%, which can be used in modern and future wireless communication systems which require power amplifiers operating over a wide frequency range.

    Abstract: An oxygen barrier packaging material is provided. The packaging film includes a substrate polymer formed as a transparent and flexible film. An at least 75 percent light transmissive, oxygen barrier coating is formed on the substrate polymer transparent and flexible film. The oxygen barrier coating is formed from a composition that includes approximately 15 wt % to 35 wt % of a coating polymer in dry weight, approximately 0.1 wt % to 5 wt % of nanoparticles in dry weight, approximately 40 wt % to 75 wt % of a plasticizer in dry weight, and approximately 5 wt % to 20 wt % of a crosslinking agent in dry weight. The nanoparticles in the coating create a convoluted path for oxygen and the coating is stretchable and bendable with the substrate polymer.
