The support unit has a support plate that supports a discharge sheet from below. The support plate is tilted in a vertical direction by being supported at an upstream end of the support plate in as a fulcrum and is raised and downed with respect to the tray surface so as to change an angle.

The actuator moves between a detectable position where the actuator is detectable by the sensor and an undetectable position where the actuator is not detectable by the sensor. The actuator has a sheet guide portion. The sheet guide portion extends along a sheet conveyance direction. The sheet guide portion moves, in a direction transverse to the sheet conveyance direction such that the actuator moves to the detectable position, by contact with the sheet passing along the sheet conveyance path and guides the sheet in the sheet conveyance direction.

The racks are respectively provided on the positioning members, extend along the widthwise direction, and move in the widthwise direction integrally with the positioning members. The pinion is rotatably provided on the main body, is engaged with each of the racks, and is rotated in association with the movement of the racks. The rotating shaft rotatably supports the pinion. The adjustment member applies a rotation load to the pinion by allowing the pinion to be in contact therewith. The adjustment member is capable of adjusting the rotation load in a manner to move in the thickness direction of the recording medium loading plate.
