In this processing apparatus, image data of a large number of images is stored in an image storage unit, and a memory unit stores the correspondence between an image and an action when the image is assigned to the action. When a particular action occurs, a control unit performs a control such that the image assigned to the action is displayed. When a list of images stored in the image storage unit is displayed, the control unit controls displaying such that any action related to each image is explicitly shown in the list of images.
