  • Publication number: 20240242700
Abstract: An instrument comprises a body including a soundboard that transmits a vibration of a sound source, and a vibration exciter configured to vibrate the soundboard in response to an input signal. The vibration exciter comprises a vibrator member attached to the soundboard and configured to vibrate the soundboard in response to the input signal, a displacement member configured to displace relative to the vibrator member in response to the input signal, and a support member including an elastic member and supporting the displacement member via the elastic member with respect to the body. At least part of the vibration exciter overlaps a center of a region of the soundboard that extends in a width direction from a contact region of the soundboard where the soundboard contacts with the vibrator member.

  • Patent number: 10755693
Abstract: Provided is an acoustic apparatus capable of causing a sensation that a sound is produced in a larger space than reality, without requiring an excessive cost and time-consuming installation. The sound collected by a microphone is converted to an electrical signal, and a reflected sound component is extracted by a signal processing portion. The reflected sound component thus extracted is amplified by an amplifier, and the reflected sound component thus amplified vibrates transducers attached to a back-side board surface of each acoustic structure, whereby reflected sound is emitted from all faces including front-side board surface and the back-side board surface. A player can thus naturally perceive as if the space where he stays is expanded.

  • Patent number: 10540949
Abstract: The musical instrument includes: a pickup that acquires an electric sound signal corresponding to a sound performed on the musical instrument; effector circuitry that imparts an effect to the acquired electric sound signal; a vibrator that produces mechanical vibration corresponding to the effect-imparted sound signal; and a transmission device that transmits the mechanical vibration, produced by the vibrator, to the body of the musical instrument with a characteristic having a fundamental frequency region of the musical instrument suppressed. The electric sound signal corresponding to the performed sound is imparted with an effect, the vibrator is driven by the effect-imparted sound signal, and a mechanical vibration sound is generated from the body of the musical instrument. The thus-generated mechanical vibration sound is audibly generated from the body as a vibration sound additional to the performed sound, which allows a user to experience a performance feeling that has never existed before.
