The carriage member has a bearing hole and at least one arm, and the at least one arm has a head portion and an intermediate portion arranged between the head portion and the bearing hole. In addition, a thickness of the intermediate portion in a normal direction, perpendicular to a width of the carriage member, is smaller than a thickness of the head portion in the normal direction. The oscillating actuator having this structure exhibits excellent dimensional stability when used in a disk apparatus, and can be produced easily and economically.
