    Abstract: A microwave photon control device includes a first qubit and a second qubit that are connected in parallel to a waveguide through which microwave photons propagate, and a direct coupling between the first qubit and the second qubit. An interval between the first qubit and the second qubit is (ΒΌ+n/2) times as long as a wavelength of microwave photons (where n is an integer equal to or larger than 0). A quantum entangled state is formed between the first qubit and the second qubit. The direct coupling cancels out a coupling via the waveguide between the first qubit and the second qubit. By a relaxation rate of the first qubit and the second qubit, and a phase of the quantum entangled state being controlled, the microwave photon control device operates while switching between a first operation mode, a second operation mode, and a third operation mode.

    Abstract: A shell type needle roller bearing for a universal joint is provided which can eliminate radial gaps. A plurality of needle rollers are mounted in an outer ring which has a cylindrical portion adapted to be fitted in a bearing ring formed in a bifurcated piece of a yoke and having a bottom at one end. The cylindrical portion is formed by three arcuate wall portions having equal circumferential lengths to each other. When a trunnion of a universal joint is inserted into the shell type needle roller bearing, the arcuate wall portions are resiliently deformed radially outwardly through the needle rollers, so that the needle rollers are pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the trunnion by the recovering resilience. This prevents formation of radial gaps.

    Abstract: A needle roller bearing is proposed in which treating gas can infiltrate more easily into the bearing during carburizing/nitriding treatment to promote treatment inside the bearing. The needle rollers are prevented from coming out by an inward flange provided at one end of the outer shell and an outward flange provided at the other end of the inner shell, and an inwardly bent edge provided at the other end of the outer shell is superimposed on the outside of the outward flange of the inner shell to establish axial engagement between the outer shell and the inner shell. The diametric overlap amount between the outward flange of the inner shell and the bent edge of the outer shell is set to a minimum limit necessary to maintain engagement therebetween so that treating gas can infiltrate into the bearing through the gap at the overlap portion.
