  • Publication number: 20230173390
Abstract: An example of a terminal apparatus designates a use object to be used in a competitive game from among a plurality of objects each being associated with an object parameter, based on a user's operation input. The example of the terminal apparatus designates a designation parameter indicating a value or range of the object parameter, based on a user's operation input. A matching request including information regarding the designated use object and information regarding the designated designation parameter is transmitted to a server. An example of the server determines, as participating users, users of two terminal apparatuses, among a plurality of terminal apparatuses, which are in such a relationship that the value of the object parameter of the use object included in the matching request of each terminal apparatus corresponds to the value or range of the designation parameter included in the matching request of the other terminal apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20230173386
Abstract: An example of an information processing system sets any one of teams in a competitive game into an operable state. During the competitive game, the information processing system causes an object included in a team in the operable state to perform at least one of a plurality of types of actions including battle, based on an instruction by a user associated with the team or on a control performed by the information processing system. A first evaluation value is calculated based on the result of the battle. Each time the progress state of the competitive game satisfies a condition, a second evaluation value is calculated based on the number of objects placed in a predetermined area in a game space. The information processing system determines a winner and a loser in the competitive game, based on the first evaluation value and the second evaluation value.

  • Patent number: 11623139
Abstract: An example information processing system executes a process using values of scores of a plurality of users that are updated based on a result of a game. When a first game is selected from games, the first game is executed, in which the result of the game is determined based on a first user's game operation in the first game, and an opponent based on data of a second user different from the first user. When a second game is selected from games, the second game is executed, in which the result of the game is determined independently of the first user's game operation performed in the second game. The information processing system updates the first user's score and the second user's score based on a result of the first game, and updates at least the first user's score based on a result of the second game.

  • Patent number: 11602694
Abstract: An example of an information processing system executes a draw for choosing one or more game character based on selection probabilities from among a group of game characters, wherein at least one of the game characters chosen by a draw is granted to the user. When a game character of a first group is granted by a draw, a first selection probability value for game characters of the first group is changed to a first base value, and a second selection probability value for game characters of a second group is changed to the second base value. When a game character of the second group is granted by a draw and a boost value of the first selection probability is greater than a predetermined value, the first selection probability value is at least lowered so that the first selection probability value is greater than the first base value.

  • Patent number: 11590425
Abstract: An example of an information processing system is configured to, in a draw mode, display two or more selection candidates. In the draw mode, when a selection instruction to select at least one of unselected selection candidates is given, a game character that corresponds to the selected selection candidate is granted to the user. When the number of unselected selection candidates is equal to a first number, the process decreases an amount by which the predetermined parameter is decreased as compared with a case where the number of unselected selection candidates is equal to a second number greater than the first number. When a cumulative grant count becomes equal to or greater than a reference count, the information processing system permits execution of a designated mode in which a game character designated by the user is granted to the user.

  • Patent number: 11590422
Abstract: An example of an information processing system executes an application including a plurality of games using characters to each of which at least one of a plurality of skills influencing progress of a game is added. In a first game that is one of the plurality of games, a possessed character that is a character possessed by a user is used. The information processing system adds at least one skill that satisfies a condition for being designated by the user, among the plurality of skills, to the possessed character on the basis of designation by the user. In a second game different from the first game among the plurality of games, a use character prepared to be used in the second game is used. The information processing system adds at least one skill among the plurality of skills to the use character in accordance with progress of the second game.

  • Patent number: 11534689
Abstract: A plurality of characters with which outer appearance images and game parameters are respectively associated, even several characters having the same outer appearance images are individually managed, and a game is executed using the plurality of characters possessed by a user. For a specific character designated by the user among specific characters for which a change allowing condition for the outer appearance image is satisfied, the outer appearance image is changed to a first image set in advance in association with the specific character or a second image that has become selectable by the change allowing condition being satisfied, on the basis of a user's instruction. Further, the game parameters of all the specific characters for which the change allowing condition is satisfied are changed.

  • Patent number: 11497991
Abstract: An example of an information processing system includes a server capable of communicating with a terminal device. The server stores information representing a choice probability, for each of a plurality of objects in the application, for a draw whereby a user obtains an object. The information processing system accepts an instruction of specifying a relevant object to be associated with the draw. The server alters the choice probability at least for some of the objects depending on the relevant object. In response to a draw instruction, the server chooses at least one object from among the objects that can be obtained through a draw based on the choice probability obtained by altering the choice probability. The server awards one or more of the chosen objects to the user.

  • Patent number: 11473943
Abstract: An optical fiber sensor includes an optical fiber. The optical fiber includes a cladding having a cladding refractive index, and a plurality of fiber cores embedded in the cladding and extending along a longitudinal axis of the optical fiber. The plurality of fiber cores include a first subset of at least one first fiber core and a second subset of at least one second fiber core. The at least one first fiber core has a first core refractive index different from the cladding refractive index and a first core radius in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. The at least one second fiber core has a second core refractive index different from the cladding refractive index and a second core radius transverse to the longitudinal axis. The second core refractive index and the second core radius differ from the first core refractive index and the first core radius such that a temperature sensitivity of the at least one second fiber core differs from the temperature sensitivity of the first fiber core.

  • Publication number: 20220266147
Abstract: An example of an information processing system displays on a display device two or more selection candidates each corresponding to a game character in a draw mode. In the draw mode, a game character corresponding to a selected selection candidate is granted to the user in exchange for decreasing a predetermined parameter. When a cumulative grant count becomes equal to or greater than a reference count, the information processing system permits execution of a designated mode. In the designated mode, a game character designated by the user is granted to the user. In the draw mode, the information processing system accepts a selection instruction until an end process is performed even after the cumulative grant count becomes equal to or greater than the reference count.
