  • Publication number: 20030104155
Abstract: A multilayered volume hologram structure of the invention comprises a substrate 2 for a certificate or the like, and an adhesive layer 5, a volume hologram layer 5 and a surface protective film 7 laminated on the substrate in the described order. When a multilayer structure consisting of the volume hologram layer 5 and surface protective layer 5 is forcibly released from the substrate for the purpose of making a photograph replacement or falsifying a personal information area, the volume hologram image can break down certainly, thereby ensuring prevention of falsification. A multilayered volume hologram structure-making label is useful for making a multilayered volume hologram structure.

  • Publication number: 20010053004
Abstract: The invention provides a diffusing plate with the angle of diffusion controllable within a desired range by use of a hologram, which is capable of presenting bright displays so that it is applicable to, for instance, a backlighting diffusing plate for liquid crystal display device. A diffusing plate 2 having an angle of diffusion &thgr; is brought into close contact with a hologram photosensitive material 1. Then, parallel light 3 is obliquely at an angle of incidence &agr; on the photosensitive material 1 while parallel light 4 is vertically incident on the diffusing plate 2. Thereupon, parallel light 4 is converted into diffused light 5 having an angle of diffraction &thgr; upon passing through the diffusing plate 2. Diffused light 5 interferes with obliquely incident parallel light 3 from the opposite direction in photosensitive material 1 to produce interference fringes, thereby forming a reflection type hologram.

  • Patent number: 6097514
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for replicating a volume hologram having an image of a scattering object recorded therein according to a hologram replicating technique, wherein the diffraction 13 of unnecessary light due to zero-order light, etc. arising from regular reflection and a visual range capable of viewing a recorded image is limited to a desired range .alpha., so that the image can be displayed more brightly than would be possible with the original hologram plate, and a volume hologram as well. When replicating a volume hologram 4' having an image O' of a scattering body recorded therein, replicating illumination light is incident on the volume hologram 4' at an angle of incidence I.sub.1 at which a group of fringes can be replicated and recorded, said group of fringes being such that, in the vicinity of an apex defined by a supposed slant angle S.sub.g at which a replicated hologram 4' can be viewed at a supposed viewing center angle .phi. within a range .alpha.

  • Patent number: 6055075
Abstract: The invention provides a method of recording, and replicating a reflection hologram, which enables reference light or object light to strike on a holographic recording material at an angle of incidence that is approximate to 90.degree. or larger than the critical angle. With the reflection hologram-replicating method, the reflection hologram can be continuously replicated by allowing replicating illumination light to strike on the holographic recording material at any desired angle of incidence other than verticality. A wavefront conversion type transmission hologram 1' is located in close contact with one surface side of a reflection hologram recording material 6 while a reflection hologram plate 7 is located in close contact with the other surface side thereof.

  • Patent number: 5993600
Abstract: A system which enables a film, e.g. a photosensitive material film, to be continuously laminated on and delaminated from a surface of a substrate, e.g. a hologram original plate, and allows duplication to be continuously effected. The system includes a film supply part (32) for supplying a film (1), a film laminating part (37) for continuously laminating the supplied film (1) on a film laminating substrate (35), a film delaminating part (37') for continuously delaminating the film from the substrate (35), and a film take-up part (43) for taking up the delaminated film. In the system, no air bubbles are trapped when the film (1) is laminated on the substrate (35), and no peel unevenness, e.g. undesired line, occurs when the film (1) is delaminated from the substrate (35). The system is suitable for use in a hologram duplicating apparatus, a dimple relief pattern duplicating apparatus, a microscopic test sample preparing apparatus, etc.
