  • Patent number: 9402969
Abstract: To provide a sputum aspirating apparatus capable of automatically aspirating sputum safely. a sputum aspirating apparatus includes a suction line, a switching unit, a measurement unit, and a control unit. The suction line has a suction inlet which aspirates sputum produced in patient's respiratory tract; and an accommodating part maintained at negative pressure, which accommodates the aspirated sputum. The switching unit is in the suction line, and can switch between first state where the suction inlet communicates with the accommodating part, and second state where the suction inlet is shutoff from the accommodating part. The measurement unit measures the expired air being aspirated into the accommodating part, under the first state. The control unit can switch the switching unit from the second state to the first state during expiration, and keep the first state when the expired air measured by the measurement unit is under a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 9168332
Abstract: A hemodialysis apparatus includes a dialyzer, a quantitative vessel including a displaceable partition wall which partitions the inside of the quantitative vessel into a first chamber and a second chamber, a storage vessel which stores a dialysate, a dialysate exchange circuit which supplies the dialysate to the first chamber, and discharges a waste dialysate in the second chamber to the outside by the consequent displacement of the partition wall to the second chamber side, a dialysate supply circuit which supplies the dialysate in the first chamber to the dialyzer, and discharges the waste dialysate from the dialyzer to the second chamber by the displacement of the partition wall to the first chamber side, and a dialysate storage circuit which supplies the dialysate in the first chamber to the storage vessel by the displacement of the partition wall to the first chamber side.

  • Publication number: 20100084326
Abstract: The present invention provides a forming method capable of inexpensively forming a bodily fluid purification cassette which is reduced in size as small as possible. A bodily fluid purification cassette is detachably attached to a bodily fluid purification apparatus body. The bodily fluid purification cassette includes a synthetic resin box-like body; a basic element incorporated in the box-like body; a selective element selected from a bodily fluid purification element such as a dialyzer, a plasma exchange module and an immunoadsorbent cylinder; and bodily fluid flow passages which connects the basic element and the selective element with each other. The box-like body and the bodily fluid flow passages are formed by primary molding such that a cross section of a split-type structure has a predetermined shape, and the split-type structure is integrally formed into a cassette by secondary molding.

  • Patent number: 5700372
Abstract: A dialyzer provided in a cylindrical housing with a bundle of hollow fiber membranes and first flow paths and second flow paths separated from each other by said hollow fiber membranes and allowed to effect dialysis and ultrafiltration through the medium of said hollow fiber membranes between a body liquid flowing through said first flow paths and a dialyzing liquid flowing through said second flow paths, characterized in that a constricted part is formed halfway in the length of said second flow paths with a material capable of being swelled by said dialyzing liquid so as to confer a difference of pressure on said dialyzing liquid on the upstream side and the downstream side of said dialyzing liquid relative to said constricted part.
