  • Publication number: 20100111734
Abstract: In a conventional configuration, a lead line weld joined portion 55 between a lead line and an end of a terminal is disposed internally of an magnetic circuit, i.e., of a yoke portion 51. This increases the total length of the magnetic circuit, i.e., the yoke portion 51 by the axial dimension of the lead line weld joined portion 55. This will increase the magnetic resistance of the magnetic circuit, which leads to a problem with a reduction in the magnetic biasing force occurring between a first core portion 33 and an anchor 35. In the present invention, the lead line weld joined portion 55 is disposed externally of the magnetic circuit, i.e., of the yoke portion 51. This eliminates the necessity of a space adapted to receive the lead line weld joined portion 55 therein; therefore, the total length of the magnetic circuit can be reduced. It is possible, thus, to generate a sufficient magnetic biasing force between the first core portion 33 and the anchor 35.

  • Patent number: 6893587
Abstract: An improved method of manufacturing a foam-molded product is provided including the steps of: filling a resin containing a foaming agent into a mold cavity by injection within a time period from a time point just before completion of mold clamping to a time point after the completion of mold clamping; allowing the resin thus filled in the mold cavity to form a skin layer over a surface thereof; thereafter retracting a movable mold to define a predetermined cavity clearance between the movable mold and a stationary mold, so as to cause the foaming agent contained in an uncured portion of the resin to foam; and cooling the resin filled in the cavity mold to form a foam-molded product having a surface forming a tight skin layer and an inside portion in a foamed state.

  • Patent number: 5353261
Abstract: A hollow member having a continuous sound-waveguide therein is formed by a plate shaped rigid base member microwave welded to an overriding member of flexible and semi-rigid plastic made, e.g., by vacuum forming. A speaker and an amplifier are confined in the hollow member which is filled with gas. The shape, material and thickness of the hollow member is selected to have a strength capable of retaining the shape of a sound-waveguide without an airpressure within the hollow member against reasonable external forces imposed, such as when under the usual condition of use on the back or seat of a chair.

  • Patent number: 4538254
Abstract: A pickup device for compensating for jitter by driving a scanning needle in the direction of a record track on a disc comprises a resiliently held support which supports a cantilever having the scanning needle mounted thereon and a permanent magnet mounted at an end thereof, and a driver to which a drive current is supplied to generate a magnetic field to be acted on the permanent magnet. A drive force created by the action of the magnetic field is in parallel to a surface of the disc so that the scanning needle is driven in parallel to the surface of the disc.

  • Patent number: 4504940
Abstract: A stylus suitable for use with a video disc player of a type in which signals representing changes in electrostatic capacity with respect to a video disc are detected, including a scanning surface brought into contact with the video disc for scanning same, a plurality of inclined surfaces, and a plurality of ridges formed by the inclined surfaces. At least one of several meeting points of the plurality of ridges located in a direction in which scanning is performed is chamfered to render the point blunt. A stylus of the aforesaid shape is produced by a grinding method consisting in using a grinder pan composed of a plate of soft resin having a coat of hard material applied to its surface and forcing a forward end of a stylus against such grinding pan.
