Abstract: A retractable cup holder for automobiles is disclosed. The retractable cup holder comprises a case, which has an opening at its front wall and a defining cavity therein. A movable retractable body is installed in the cavity of the case, thus being selectively retracted into or protruded from the case. An actuating rod unit is rotatably mounted on at least one side of the retractable body and is provided with both a holder ring and a support pad for cups. The actuating rod unit operates in conjunction with the movement of the retractable body in respect to the case, thus selectively opening or closing the holder ring and support pad. The cup holder further comprises an ejector unit, for selectively protruding the retractable body from the case.
