Abstract: An inflator for an airbag including an elongated pipe containing an inert gas and a pair of igniters. The igniters are positioned at opposite ends of the tube so that the inert gas can be generally evenly distributed out of a plurality of spaced apart openings positioned along the length of the tube. The openings are sealed until the inert gas reaches a predetermined pressure.
