  • Patent number: 6263962
Abstract: An oil cooler is fixed to an engine via an installation stay provided around an outer periphery of the oil cooler. Thus, the load applied to a core portion is reduced, and the load is dispersed on entire portion of the oil cooler. Thus, the respective stresses applied to respective portions of the oil cooler are very small, and a deformation of the core portion is prevented. Furthermore, since the respective stresses on any portion of the oil cooler is reduced, it is possible to make the oil cooler with aluminum whose strength is lower than that of iron. Furthermore, since the thickness of the installation stay can be reduced, difference in the thermal expansion quantity caused by difference in coefficients of linear expansion of the bolt and the installation stay is significantly reduced, and the loose bolt of the bolt caused by difference in coefficients of linear expansion is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20010007282
Abstract: An assembly (oil cooler unit), under the state where first and second plates (130, 140) prevent a heat exchange core (110) from falling from a casing (120), is provisionally assembled, and this oil cooler unit is dipped in a flux to apply the flux. A seal surface plate (150) is then assembled to the second plate (140) and is brazed by heat-brazing in an inert gas atmosphere. Since a flux residue on the seal surface plate (150) can be drastically reduced in this manner after brazing is complete, the seal surface plate (150) can secure predetermined surface texture even after brazing is complete while the number of process steps necessary for applying the flux is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5787977
Abstract: First and second communicating holes are formed in a first formed plate 11, and first and second communicating holes are also formed in a second formed plate 12. The first and second formed plates 11 and 12 are joined to each other to form a joined body 8. When a plurality of joined bodies 8 are stacked, a heat exchanging section 7 is formed that is provided with a plurality of flow pipes 34 in which the first communicating holes are connected with each other in the stacking direction and the second communicating holes are also connected with each other. In the plurality of flow pipes 34 of the heat exchanging section 7, oil passage 35 in which engine oil flows in the stacking direction is formed, and further around the plurality of flow pipes 34, a plurality of cooling water passages 36 in which engine cooling water flows are formed.

  • Patent number: 5649468
Abstract: A swash plate type hydraulic motor switchable between high speed and low speed, comprises a main case, a cylinder block supported in the main case to be rotatable about a rotational axis, the cylinder block including a plurality of plungers having longitudinal axes extending parallel to the rotational axis, a swash plate supported in the main case for contacting forward ends of the plungers and pivotable about a pivotal axis between a high speed position and a low speed position, the pivotal axis extending parallel to a plane perpendicular to the rotational axis, and two trunnions projecting on the pivotal axis from opposite peripheral positions of the swash plate.

  • Patent number: 5625254
Abstract: A fluorescent character display tube has an anode base plate, a frame, a filament supporting member, and a fixing layer. The frame is provided above the anode base plate and the filament supporting member is welded on the frame. The fixing layer is provided between the frame and the anode base plate such that the frame is securely and air-tightly fixed to the anode base plate. The fixing layer may be a low melting point glass layer or a high heat-resistant resin. The high heat-resistant resin may be polyimide. The arrangement enables to reducing the vibration of the frame thereby reducing the noise.

  • Patent number: 5409058
Abstract: An oil cooler includes a heat exchanging core 40 which includes a stack of heat exchanging plates 40. Each of the heat exchanging plates 40 includes a first set of openings 61 and 62 and a second set of openings 65, 66 and 67. The openings 65, 66 and 67 in the second set construct rows which are spaced along the width W of the plates 40. The openings between the first and second sets are alternately arranged along a direction of the width W of the plates. The openings 61 and 62 in the first set are symmetrical about a central axis X--X, while the openings 65, 66 or 67 in each row are asymmetric about the axis X--X.
