Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus including an image bearing member, a charging member, an exposing member, a developer carrying member, a storage member to store a first lifetime threshold for the first image forming mode, a second lifetime threshold for the second image forming mode and a value related to a driving amount of the image bearing member. The image forming apparatus further includes a controller to (i) perform a first determination regarding the lifetime corresponding to the first mode based on the value related to the driving amount and the first lifetime threshold and (ii) perform a second determination regarding the lifetime corresponding to the second mode based on the value related to the driving amount and the second lifetime threshold, and a notifying unit to perform a notification based on a result of the first or second determination to the image bearing member.
Abstract: A control apparatus is connected to a device for detecting a user's hand motion, controls a motion of a virtual character, and decides, in accordance with a detection result of hand motion by the device, whether the detected motion is a first instruction action or a second instruction action. The first instruction action achieves a match between a hand motion of the character and the user's hand motion. The second instruction action instructs an action different from the user's hand motion. When it is decided, as a result of the decision, that the detected user's hand motion is the first instruction action, the control apparatus achieves a match between the character's hand motion and the detected user's hand motion. When it is decided that the detected user's hand motion is the second instruction action, the control apparatus causes the character to perform an action different from the hand motion.

The controller is configured to receive the limitation signal and control the switch to prevent the current from exceeding the tolerance value. The detector is configured output a turn-off signal to the controller when a first state continues for a delay time determined depending on the current's magnitude. The first state is a state where the current is smaller than the tolerance value and the current exceeds a first threshold value smaller than the tolerance value. The controller turns off the switch in response to the turn-off signal.
Abstract: A problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable compound for producing a VA-mode, PSA-mode, or PSVA-mode liquid crystal display device which has large K33, small ?1/K33, high VHR after ultraviolet irradiation, a high polymerization rate of the polymerizable compound, no or very few display defects due to a change in pretilt angle, a satisfactory pretilt angle, and excellent response performance, and also to provide a liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition. The problem is solved by a liquid crystal composition of the present invention containing a compound of formula (B31) and a compound of formula (CB31).
