  • Publication number: 20120292567
Abstract: A liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable compound according to the present invention is used in a liquid crystal display element in which a liquid crystal alignment capability is provided through polymerization. The liquid crystal composition contains a polymerizable compound that polymerizes without a photopolymerization initiator or with an extremely small amount of photopolymerization initiator. Therefore, the alignment properties after the polymerization become more stable and the display characteristics do not degrade. Thus, the polymerizable compound is suitable as a practical component of the liquid crystal composition. A liquid crystal display element that uses the liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable compound according to the present invention can be suitably used for VA and IPS liquid crystal display elements.

  • Publication number: 20120200665
Abstract: When there is a shooting location of another panoramic image in a shooting direction of a panoramic image to be displayed, a marker setting unit associates a marker, indicating the presence of the another panoramic image in the shooting direction, with the panoramic image to be displayed. A mapping processing unit maps the panoramic image to be displayed, which has been associated with markers for the other panoramic images, into a three-dimensional (3D) panoramic space as textures. A 3D image generator generates a 3D panoramic image when the 3D panoramic space is viewed in a specified line of sight, with the shooting location of the panoramic image to be displayed being set as a viewpoint position. An interface receives an instruction from a user concerning the displayed 3D panoramic image.

  • Publication number: 20110317986
Abstract: An electronic mail on which a control command is interpolated is transmitted through a public line, received by a modem section of a gate way, converted to a digital data, and supplied to the control section. A CPU of the control section stores the received electronic mail in a RAM, and extracts the control command contained in the electronic mail. The CPU supplies a control signal corresponding to the control command to an interface section. The interface section controls an IR transmission section to transmit a signal corresponding to the control signal supplied from the CPU or outputs a signal through a connection line, and controls a video deck.

  • Patent number: 7454626
Abstract: A security apparatus and a security method for controlling electric devices by use of electronic mails. A modem receives an electronic mail sent from a sending side and stores the received electronic mail into a RAM of a controller. A CPU extracts certification information encrypted by a secret key of a user of the sending side and decrypts the certification information by use of a public key. Based on the decrypted information, the CPU determines whether the user of the sending side is authentic or not. Only when the user is found authentic, the CPU extracts a control command from the received electronic mail and stores the extracted control command into a RAM. Then, the CPU transmits an electronic mail to the sending side for confirming content of the control.
