    Abstract: A smaller-sized, more lightweight, and power-saving successive magnetic pulse device is provided. A discharging circuit section K is configured by connecting, in series in a loop, a magnetic therapy pulse coil 6 configured to generate an eddy current in a target part 3, a charging/discharging capacitor 4, and a switching semiconductor element 7 configured to supply a discharge current from the charging/discharging capacitor 4 to the pulse coil 6. A step-up transformer 1 includes a primary-side coil 1a connected to an AC power supply 2 and a secondary-side coil 1b connected to input terminals 5a of a full-wave rectifying circuit 5. A control unit 8 is connected to a switching semiconductor element 7 and controls conduction timing of the switching semiconductor element 7. The full-wave rectifying circuit 5 has output terminals 5b connected to both terminals P1 and P2 of the charging/discharging capacitor 4, respectively.

    Abstract: A drum brake includes a pair of brake shoes which are provided such that when expanded, they are forced against a brake drum to generate a braking force, a strut which is received in notches formed in the respective webs of the brake shoes so as to extend therebetween, a parking lever which is rotatably supported on either one of the brake shoes such that when rotated, it engages the strut to expand the brake shoes, and a coil spring which is loaded between the strut and the notch formed in the web of the other brake shoe to bias the strut toward the first brake shoe. The notch in the web that is engaged with the strut includes a first notch portion that is formed by cutting the outer peripheral portion of the web and a second notch portion that is formed by further cutting the web at the bottom of the first notch portion at the approximately central portion thereof in the direction of the width of the notch.

    Abstract: A drum brake including a backing plate adapted to be mounted on a non-rotatable member of a vehicle, the backing plate having a shaft hole formed therethrough at the center thereof for accommodating a shaft of the vehicle, a drum adapted to be mounted on a rotatable member of the vehicle, a pair of brake shoes mounted on the backing plate and arranged to be expandable in the radial direction of the drum, a connector connecting respective ends of each of the brake shoes together, an anchor with which the other end of each of the brake shoes are engageable, and mounting bolts for mounting the backing plate on the non-rotatable member of the vehicle. The mounting bolts are located outwardly of the shaft hole and close to each other. The anchor is also fixed to the non-rotatable member of the vehicle by the mounting bolts.

A spring is provided to bias the automatic shoe clearance adjusting mechanism toward a backing plate.

There is provided, at least on a line passing through the center of the pin and the stop, an element for restricting movement of the adjusting lever in the direction of the axis of the pin.
