  • Patent number: 5505765
Abstract: A method of separating nitrogen-enriched gas is performed by PSA with the use of an apparatus which comprises a plurality of adsorbers (1, 2), a balance tank (3), and a product receiver (4). The method is characterized by comprising the steps of (a) passing, at a predetermined flow rate, high-purity nitrogen gas from the balance tank (3) to an outlet of an adsorber (2) undergoing regeneration; (b) establishing communication between the outlets of both adsorbers (1, 2) through a pressure equalization line while opening the inlets of both adsorbers to atmospheric pressure; (c) after the above step (b), causing a predetermined amount of high-purity nitrogen gas in the balance tank (3) to reversely pass via the outlet of the adsorber (2) which is to be switched from regeneration to adsorption while also supplying the crude gas through its inlet.

  • Patent number: 5312203
Abstract: Vulcanizing apparatus including a sealable vulcanizing vessel having an access cover on the top thereof, and a mold to be inserted in the vulcanizing vessel. The length of a rubber sleeve provided to cover the unvulcanized rubber belt molding A formed over the external circumference of the mold is sized a little longer than the height of the mold so that both ends of the rubber sleeve when placed in covering position protrude slightly from both the top and bottom ends of the mold. A holding seat is provided in the lower part of the vulcanizing vessel, and a pressing seat corresponding to the holding seat is provided on the access cover via a cylinder unit so that the pressing seat can be extended and retracted as required. The inner structures of both the pressing seat and holding seat include cooling jackets.

  • Patent number: 5150489
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling a washing machine. The washing machine control apparatus includes a mechanical timer and a controller including a microcomputer. The mechanical timer has a plurality of cam switches for controlling the steps of washing, rinsing and dehydrating by the washing machine, and the cam switches are actuated so as to open and close a feed water valve and a drain valve and to instruct the control to drive a drive motor according to a selected operation pattern. The controller controls the drive motor and drives a washing tube through an agitating member and includes a memory for storing a plurality of motor operation patterns corresponding to the washing, rinsing and dehydrating steps, so that the drive motor is driven according to an operation pattern controlled by the mechanical timer and stored in the memory of the controller.

  • Patent number: 4825560
Abstract: The heat source apparatus is positioned at an outer peripheral portion of a rotative drum and an upper portion of an inhale port member of a drum supporting member for supporting the rotative drum. The heater of the heat source apparatus is positioned at an axial direction of a rotational axis of the rotative drum within a heater case. The heat source apparatus is installed at an upper corner portion of an outer frame with a heater case supporting member. The heat source apparatus and the inhale port of the drum supporting member are communicated with a C-shaped form duct. The apparatus offers the advantage that the back flow and the accumulation of the lint etc. generated from the clothes in the rotative drum to the heat source apparatus can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 4733479
Abstract: Under the rated load amount of "Normal" and "Extra" drying degrees, a drying process carried out after the detections of the plurality of resistance values a passing time of at least one resistance value selected from among of the plurality of resistance values is predicted is carried out. The hot air operation time in accordance with the measured time is calculated, and the hot air operation during the calculated hot air operation time is carried out. When under the small load amount, a drying process is carried out in the form of a hot air operation by calculating a necessary time for "Damp" drying degree under a small load amount in accordance with a time for passing a predetermined resistance value after a lapse of a constant time from the start of drying operation. When one of "Semi", "Normal" and "Extra" drying degrees under the small load amount is selected, a hot air operation is carried out at a constant time according to the calculated time for "Damp" drying degree.

  • Patent number: 4649654
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling an electric clothes dryer having an electrical heater arranged to be supplied with electric power from a power source to generate heat so as to dry clothes by air heated by the heater, the apparatus comprising a switching device for opening/closing an electrical connection between the power source and the heater in response to a control signal, a voltage detecting circuit for detecting a voltage of the power source and for generating an overvoltage signal when the detected voltage exceeds a predetermined value, and a control signal generating circuit responsive to the overvoltage signal for generating the control signal for turning on/off the switching device. The control signal is formed so that the opening period of the switching device corresponds to the value of the overvoltage signal.

  • Patent number: 4638573
Abstract: A lint and raveling collector for a clothes dryer is installed on the side of the rotating drum. The lint and raveling collector has a lint and raveling filter and a lint and raveling collecting box. The lint and raveling filter has a net-like filter member, and ribs provided on the surface of the net-like filter member to prevent friction between the filter member and the clothing. The collecting box has an opening formed at its portion facing the ribs. The collecting box covers the lint and raveling filter in such a manner that a space for accumulating the lint and raveling is defined between the lint and raveling filter and the inner wall of the whole portion of the collecting box except for the opening portion. By provision of the ribs, the lint and raveling can not pass through the interstices of the filter member, and clothing is prevented from directly rubbing against the surface of the filter member.
