  • Publication number: 20110050684
Abstract: An inspection apparatus inspects an application that is executed in a game device and displays a virtual space. The inspection apparatus comprises: an exposure indicator acquiring unit that acquires a first index relating to the exposure of an advertisement displayed in the virtual space from the game device, the index being calculated by the application that displays the virtual space from a user's point of view; an inspection image acquiring unit that acquires the virtual space, which is actually displayed on a screen on a frame by frame basis; an advertisement region extracting unit that extracts an advertisement displaying region from the image of the virtual space; an exposure indicator calculating unit that calculates a second index relating to the exposure of the advertisement based on the advertisement displaying region; and a verification unit that verifies the application by cross-checking the first index and the second index.

  • Patent number: 7328213
Abstract: A transaction of processing a database distributed to a plurality of servers in a chain of local transactions individually processed by and in each server. In each server, when the processing of a local transaction in the server is completed, the local transaction is committed or rolled back, and the right to execute a process of an application is released. Until all chained transactions are completed, the exclusive control of data accessed in the local transactions and the data before update of updated data is managed in a log, thereby guaranteeing the consistency and integrity of the data.

  • Patent number: 7233900
Abstract: The present invention relates to a word sequence output device in which emotional synthetic speech can be output. The device outputs emotional synthetic speech. A text generating unit 31 generates spoken text for synthetic speech by using text as a word sequence included in action command information in accordance with the action command information. An emotion checking unit 39 checks an emotion model value and determines whether or not the emotion of a robot is aroused based on the emotion model value. Further, when the emotion of the robot is aroused, the emotion checking unit 39 instructs the text generating unit 31 to change the word order. The text generating unit 31 changes the word order of the spoken text in accordance with the instructions from the emotion checking unit 39. Accordingly, when the spoken text is “Kimi wa kirei da.” (You are beautiful.), the word order is changed to make a sentence “Kirei da, kimi wa.” (You are beautiful, you are.

  • Publication number: 20030163320
Abstract: The present invention relates to a speech synthesis apparatus for generating an emotionally expressive synthesized voice. The emotionally expressive synthesized voice can be generated by generating a synthesized voice with a tone being changed in accordance with an emotional state. A parameter generator 43 generates transform parameters and synthesis control parameters on the basis of state information indicating the emotional state of a pet robot. A data transformer 44 transforms the frequency characteristics of phonemic unit data as speech information. A waveform generator 42 obtains necessary phonemic unit data on the basis of phoneme information included in a text analysis result, processes and connects the phonemic unit data with one another on the basis of prosody data and the synthesis control parameters, and generates synthesized voice data with the corresponding prosody and tone. The present invention is applicable to robots for outputting synthesized voices.

  • Patent number: 5963516
Abstract: A tracking control apparatus of an optical disc apparatus capable of preventing unstability of the tracking control due to the deviation of balance of a tracking error signal due to a movement of the field of vision of an object lens. A hysteresis tracking error signal is generated by masking a signal of a half cycle of an off-track state of a tracking error signal at the time of a high speed feeding of a sled and the tracking servo control is carried out by using this signal.

  • Patent number: 5766465
Abstract: The present invention is directed to provide a water treatment technology able to perform advanced purification treatment by efficiently removing synthetic organic compounds such as surface activators for use in cleaners and agricultural chemicals present in polluted water having a relatively low load of pollutants such as BOD. In order to accomplish this objective, water to be treated is brought in contact with a assimilable filter medium under aerobic conditions, said assimilable filter medium being composed by adhering a material to be assimilated that has specific assimilability for the target microorganisms to a porous base material such as charcoal. As a result of using this type of assimilable filter medium, specific microorganisms which are highly efficient for removing the synthetic organic pollutants to be removed can be utilized selectively, thereby enabling efficient removal of synthetic organic compounds.
