  • Publication number: 20080049182
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel has pixel electrodes, pixel circuits which drive the pixel electrodes, video signal lines which supply video signals to the pixel circuits, control signal lines which supply control signals to the pixel circuits, on one of a pair of substrates sandwiching a liquid crystal material therebetween. Color resists associated with the pixel electrodes are disposed on another of the substrates, and a black matrix is disposed on the inner surface of the another substrate. Bead spacers are disposed between the two substrates. The pixel circuits, video signal lines, control signal lines and bead spacers are disposed to face the black matrix. Openings or cuts are provided in portions of regions of the color resists overlapping the black matrix and facing the pixel circuits.

  • Publication number: 20070002262
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display panel comprising a pair of substrates overlapped with and fixed to each other, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the pair of substrates, wherein first spacers and second spacers being smaller in compressive elasticity modulus than the first spacers are utilized as spacers disposed and defining a gap between the pair of substrates, the second spacers are larger in a diameter than the first spacers, and the first spacers and the second spacers are arranged in non-display areas each located between pixel portions of the liquid crystal display panel (to separate a pair of the pixel portions adjacent to each other), respectively. The liquid crystal display panel according to the present invention thus configured indicates a higher tolerability against an external force applied thereto, and makes manufacturing margin thereof so wider as to mass-produce non-defective products easily.

  • Publication number: 20040160566
Abstract: A substrate includes fluid control walls for controlling the liquid crystal fluid closer to the liquid crystal dropped spot of a display area or frame-like fluid control walls between a sealing material and the display area. After the liquid crystal is dropped on the display area, a pair of substrates are pasted and then picked out in the atmosphere for applying pressure onto the pair of substrates and diffusing the liquid crystal. The liquid crystal fluid control walls serve to control the liquid crystal fluid, thereby suppressing the liquid crystal contamination caused by the contact of the unhardened sealing material with the liquid crystal and the relevant display failure.

  • Patent number: 4442849
Abstract: A curling iron for curling or waving a lock of hair twined around a heated iron rod, wherein an iron rod/clamping member assembly is mounted rotatably on the iron handle and mechanical or electrical means is provided for rotating the assembly to facilitate the curling or waving operation. Preferably, the iron rod/clamping member assembly is mounted detachably on a rotatable shaft housed within the iron handle to enable ready replacement of the assembly as well as angular positioning of the assembly with respect to the iron handle.
