Patent number: 7329083Abstract: A loader picks up a workpiece from a container, and delivers it to a workstation downstream. An unloader receives the workpiece from the workstation upstream and puts it into a container. In the loader and the unloader respectively, a first stacker and a second stacker, for holding containers in stacked manner, are placed in parallel along direction Y. A table working as a container moving mechanism moves an extracted container along direction Y. A first container transfer mechanism extracts a container from the containers stacked in the first stacker and delivers it to the container moving mechanism. A second container transfer mechanism receives the container from the moving mechanism, and stacks it in the second stacker. A transfer-head working as a workpiece transfer mechanism picks up the workpiece from the container on the table, moves it along direction X, and delivers it to the workstation downstream.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2004Date of Patent: February 12, 2008Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., LtdInventors: Shinichi Nakazato, Noriyuki Kawanishi, Shigetoshi Koga

Patent number: 6276590Abstract: An apparatus and a method for attaching conductive balls by which the tact time necessary for the positional recognition of a substrate before the conductive balls are attached onto a substrate can be greatly reduced. A first camera and a second camera are moved together a suction head. After the suction head picks up the conductive balls in a conductive ball supply section, the suction head is moved to a position above a flux supply section so that flux can be attached to the conductive balls 10, and concurrently the first camera recognizes a positional recognition mark on a substrate. Then, during when the suction head is moved to a position above the substrate, the second camera recognizes another positional recognition mark on the substrate. In accordance with the positional recognition conducted above, the suction head is positioned accurately with respect to the substrate, and then the conductive balls are attached onto the electrodes on the substrate.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2000Date of Patent: August 21, 2001Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Shinichi Nakazato

Patent number: 6099681Abstract: When applying a flux 2 kept in a container 16 onto a conductive ball 1, the flux 2 is first applied by a squeegee unit 17 on a bottom 16a of container 16 in the form of layer having a certain predetermined layer thickness. Then, a suction head 20 holding a solder ball 1 is lowered towards the container 16. As soon as a touch sensor 43 detects a touching of the solder ball 1 to the bottom 16a, the suction head 20 is lifted, and the solder ball 1 held to the suction head 20 is transferred onto a workpiece. Thus a solder ball 1 may be transferred onto a workpiece after being applied with a certain specific amount of flux 2 with precision.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 1998Date of Patent: August 8, 2000Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuo Arikado, Shinichi Nakazato

Patent number: 5842116Abstract: A radio device equipped with a display panel 1 which contains a display section 2 provided with a plurality of electrode terminals formed thereon. A side of the display panel 1 may be provided with a protruding section 4. The case 5 is provided with a guide section 6 for insertion of the display section 2. The display section 2 is inserted and held via the guide section 6. The guide section 6 is provided with connection terminals 7 formed thereon for connection with the electrode terminals 3 of the display section 2. The display section 2 may be removed by pulling out the protruding section 4 or directly holding and pulling out the display panel 1. This configuration allows easy replacement of failed display sections alone and thus results in reduced maintenance costs.Type: GrantFiled: December 26, 1995Date of Patent: November 24, 1998Assignee: NEC CorporationInventors: Toshiichi Nishida, Shinichi Nakazato

Patent number: 5768775Abstract: A mounting head is composed of a box-shaped main body, a case contained inside the main body, and a suction tool in the lower part of the case. The main body and case are coupled by a spring member, and the weight of the suction tool is canceled by the force of the spring. A cylinder is provided in the main body, and a rod is coupled to the case and cylinder. Solder balls sucked in by a vacuum into suction holes of the suction tool are pressed onto the electrodes of a workpiece by the cylinder. The mounting head is moved up and down by elevating means comprising a ball screw, a nut, and a motor. The pressing force of the suction tool by the cylinder is set to a proper magnitude so that the solder balls are not squeezed or crushed into the electrodes or sink into the suction holes of the suction tool.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1996Date of Patent: June 23, 1998Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Shinichi Nakazato

Patent number: 5146375Abstract: A cartridge handling device for loading and unloading a cartridge accommodating a magnetic tape, magnetic disk or similar recording medium from a processor which is operable with the cartridge. A support plate is reciprocatingly movable in the intended direction of movement of the cartridge toward the processor while extending perpendicularly to that direction. A pair of latch mechanisms are rotatable about individual latch shafts which are studded vertically on the support plate, in order to latch the cartridge when the cartridge is transported. A pair of one-way guide mechanisms are individually associated with the latch mechanisms for controlling the rotation of the latter.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1991Date of Patent: September 8, 1992Assignee: NEC CorporationInventors: Koichi Satoh, Shinichi Nakazato
