  • Patent number: 6628337
Abstract: A camera is made compact with its internal temperature adjusted to a more appropriate temperature. A temperature T is read from a temperature sensor disposed within the camera (S100) and it is judged whether or not the temperature T exceeds a threshold Tref1 (S102). When the temperature T exceeds the threshold Tref1, the operation of the camera is changed to a power-saving mode where the power consumption is lower than in the ordinary mode (S104). The threshold Tref1 is determined to be a rated temperature at which the camera can operate stably or a temperature lower than that. Thus, the temperature in the camera can be made appropriate.

  • Patent number: 5928312
Abstract: A digital filter processing device receives image data of a frame in the order of time series in scanning the frame for carrying out a filter process for every group of image data corresponding to each of a plurality of regions of a predetermined size in the frame. The device receives image data in the order of time series of the scanning operation of a frame to multiply the input image data by a corresponding filter coefficient. This multiplied result is accumulated for every group to be output as an accumulation result. As a result, a region for storing a multiplied result which is an intermediate result of the filter process and an operation for reading out the multiplied result from the storage region for accumulation can be eliminated. Therefore, a filtering process of a frame can be carried out at high speed and in real-time.

  • Patent number: 5848290
Abstract: In a system in which a plurality of data driven information processors are connected to each other to receive a data packet and to carry out processing simultaneously, each processor stores a processor number parameter ID of a data packet to be forcibly included in a specific data packet to be input. The forced input packet is a packet which each processor should receive and process unconditionally among packets addressed to the other processors excluding itself. The parameter ID is a number for identifying the other processors. Upon reception of an ordinary data packet, the processor compares information for specifying a processor to process the received ordinary data packet respectively with parameter ID and processor identification number PE# preassigned to each processor for identifying itself, and in response to matching between the information and any one of parameter ID and processor identification number PE#, takes in the received ordinary data packet in order to process the same.
