  • Publication number: 20070253839
Abstract: A control method for an electromagnetic clutch of a variable capacity compressor in a refrigeration cycle includes: setting an electric current of an electromagnetic control valve to zero; when a predetermined time pass after setting step, calculating a load torque based on a discharge pressure and a rotation speed of the variable capacity compressor; determining whether or not the load torque is greater than the power of the electromagnetic clutch; engaging the electromagnetic clutch when the load torque is smaller than the power of the electromagnetic clutch; and when the load torque is greater than the power of the electromagnetic clutch, increasing air flow from a fan to a condenser in the refrigeration cycle and returning to the calculating step.

  • Patent number: 6332329
Abstract: When a solenoid 42 of a flow-rate control valve drive mechanism is demagnetized, a pilot valve 41 is closed for introduction of working pressure into a pressure chamber 35 of a flow-rate control valve 31 to be stopped, and a spool valve 33 is closed for a low-pressure side refrigerant path 25 to be closed and for a refrigerant suction rate to a refrigerant suction chamber 7 to be reduced to a zero.

  • Patent number: 6158325
Abstract: A swash plate type compressor has a rotating assembly of a drive shaft, a drive plate mounted on the drive shaft and a swash plate unit linked with the drive plate through a hinge mechanism. The drive plate has a circular disk portion and a hinge supporting portion projecting from the disk portion. The drive plate is formed with an oil storage groove for improve lubrication and balance of the rotating assembly. The oil storage groove opens away from the swash plate unit, and extends so as to describe an arc of a circle at such a position that the oil storage groove extends between the axis of the drive shaft and the hinge supporting portion.

  • Patent number: 6146110
Abstract: A swash plate type compressor for refrigerant in a refrigeration cycle of an air conditioning system for an automotive vehicle. The compressor comprises a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinder bores. A plurality of pistons are provided to be respectively fitted in the cylinder bores, each piston making a linear movement under action of a swash plate which is rotatable with a drive shaft. Additionally, a rear housing is provided having a refrigerant suction chamber and a refrigerant discharge chamber. The rear housing has first and second end sections, in which the first end section is connected through a valve plate to an end section of the cylinder block. The refrigerant suction chamber and the refrigerant discharge chamber are connectable with the cylinder bores of the cylinder block through holes formed in the valve plate.

  • Patent number: 4820132
Abstract: A non-rotatary wobble plate is mounted on a plate which is pivotally mounted on a drive shaft in a manner that the orientation of the wobble plate and the driven plate can be varied. A thrust bearing is provided to accommodate the relative movement between the two plates and a spring, in the form of a plate spring, is provided to constantly bias the wobble plate against the thrust bearing so that noise and the like are not generated during high speed rotation of the driven plate.
