    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a hydrogen-absorption alloy electrode which comprises particles of a hydrogen-absorption alloy that comprises a rare earth element, Ni, Co and Al. The method comprises subjecting the hydrogen-absorption alloy particles to an alkaline treatment in a 10 to 50 weight % NaOH solution at 60 to 140 ° C. for 0.5 to 5 hours such that on the surface of the particles (amount of Al on surface/amount of Al in alloy)<(amount of Co on surface/amount of Co in alloy).

The frequency converting amount may be controlled externally or may be predetermined. The frequency converting amount data may cleared every communication for various circumstances. The circumference noise level and the frequency conversion amount data are stored when the frequency conversion is commended in an automatic mode during a communication. In the later communication, the frequency conversion may be effected automatically when the circumference noise level is larger than the stored circumference noise level.

With such an arrangement as above, the present invention provides a coil device capable of reducing a leakage magnetic flux generated around the gaps, preventing an abnormal generation of heat of the coil and further preventing a bad influence of noise against a peripheral apparatus.

    Abstract: This invention relates to a mobile station locating method for locating a mobile station based on a mobile communications system. Radio zones of base stations are dissected into a plurality of search areas (grid sections). A positional relationship between base stations and a concerned search area is defined by mutual time differences in the radio wave propagation between them. The base stations transmit their characteristic signals. Time differences in the propagation of the characteristic signals are caused between transmission of the characteristic signals at respective base stations and reception at a mobile station. Mutual differences in their propagation times are used to identify a search area where the mobile station is present. Thus, the position of the mobile station can be identified by an area not by a point.

    Abstract: The present invention is comprised of an outside magnetic substance forming an endless loop, an inside magnetic substance formed inside of said outside magnetic substance and coil wound on the periphery of said inside magnetic substance. In a coil device of the present invention with gaps between both ends of said outside magnetic substance and said inside magnetic substance, notches or holes are provided in said outside magnetic substance for the purpose of inserting insert a jig therein so as to adjustably move the position of said inside magnetic substance, wherein said notches or holes correspond to the gaps provided in both ends of said inside magnetic substance. In said coil device, the inside magnetic substance can be adjusted and moved its position by pressing a bar-like jig through the notches or the holes provided in the outside magnetic substance. Thus, it has become possible to adjust the value of the inductance by about 25% experimentally.
