  • Patent number: 8818671
Abstract: A vehicle brake controller is provided with a master cylinder, a wheel cylinder, a brake hydraulic actuator, a vehicle-stop-state motor-OFF controller and a pressurization rate controller. The vehicle-stop-state motor-OFF controller performs a vehicle-stop-state motor-OFF control that stops the pump motor upon the vehicle being stopped by the brake operation, and that maintains a stop state of the pump motor as is during stopping of the vehicle. The pressurization rate controller adjusts a pressurization rate of the wheel cylinder pressure to a higher value as a road surface gradient becomes larger upon resuming operation of the pump motor after the vehicle-stop-state motor-OFF control ends due to acceleration from the vehicle stop state.

  • Publication number: 20130234500
Abstract: A brake control device of an electric vehicle comprises a master cylinder, wheel cylinders, a VDC brake fluid pressure unit, a motor controller and an integrated controller. The motor controller controls a regenerative braking force produced by a vehicle driving electric motor. The integrated controller achieves, upon braking operation, a driver-desired deceleration based on the sum of a base hydraulic pressure part produced by a master cylinder pressure and a regenerative part produced by the regenerative braking force and compensates an insufficient regenerative part with a pressure increased part produced by the VDC brake fluid pressure unit. In addition to this, at the time when the VDC motor is stopped due to the regenerative cooperative brake control, a pressure difference control effected by M/C cut solenoid valves and which are differential pressure regulating valves is carried out based on a motor rotation speed of the VDC motor.

  • Patent number: 8523297
Abstract: During regenerative coordinate braking control, a target brake force is defined by eliminating influences of brake system component tolerances to achieve a comfortable brake feel and secure regenerative energy. A brake control system includes a master cylinder, wheel cylinders, a VDC brake fluid pressure unit and a motor controller. In response to a brake pedal operation by a driver, a brake pedal stroke position is detected at which a pressure in a master cylinder actually begins to be generated. A target deceleration characteristic is adjusted from a theoretical characteristic so that the target deceleration equals a maximum value of an add-on brake force (i.e., the regenerative brake gap) at the detected brake pedal stroke position.
