Patent number: 7877835Abstract: In a method of cleaning a master disk according to the present invention, a self-adhesive surface sticking/peeling operation is performed on dust on the master disk by reciprocatingly oscillating the self-adhesive member while applying external forces in a plurality of directions. Dust on the master disk can be effectively removed by moving the self-adhesive member in this way and by using the adhesion of the self-adhesive member. Since the cleaning method according to the present invention is a removal method using a physical force, it has both the effect of removing organic materials and the effect of removing inorganic materials. Further, according to the present invention, the master disk to be cleaned can be cleaned in a state of being mounted on a disk holding member such as a holder. Therefore an apparatus of a comparatively simple construction can be applied in on-line form according to the cleaning method.Type: GrantFiled: July 15, 2008Date of Patent: February 1, 2011Assignee: FUJIFILM CorporationInventor: Shinichiro Okada

Publication number: 20090028243Abstract: The direct mode of motion compensation will make coding efficiency worse if the motion deviates from a linear motion model. The motion vector linear prediction unit 64 assumes a motion vector of a reference macro block of a backward reference P frame, which lies in the same spatial position as a target macro block of a target B frame of a moving image, as a motion vector of the target macro block of the target B frame. The motion vector linear prediction unit 64 linearly predicts the forward motion vector and the backward motion vector of the target macro block based on the assumed motion vector. The difference vector search unit 66 determines a forward difference vector for correcting the forward motion vector and a backward difference vector for correcting the backward motion vector independently of each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 17, 2006Publication date: January 29, 2009Inventors: Mitsuru Suzuki, Shinichiro Okada

Publication number: 20070291131Abstract: As result of the diversified structure of a terminal device, the demand for data format is also diversified and there is a need to adjust a terminal to such a demand. An image coding apparatus according to the present invention uses a method complied with MPEG, as a method by which to code images, and particularly uses intra-frame coding and inter-frame coding. As an inter-frame coding method, a first mode which is a reference mode using bidirectional coding and a second mode which is a reference mode not using the bidirectional coding can be selectively set. In the case of the first mode, the bidirectional coding is not used, so that B pictures are not generated and the images are coded with I pictures and P pictures only.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2005Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Mitsuru Suzuki, Shigeyuki Okada, Shinichiro Okada

Publication number: 20070064809Abstract: A motion vector holding unit 61 holds motion vector information with respect to a backward reference frame detected beforehand and received from a motion compensation unit 60. A motion vector calculation unit 63 calculates multiple motion vectors for each macro block defined in a coding target frame with reference to the motion vector information with respect to the backward reference frame held by the motion vector holding unit 61 according to each calculation mode of a set of different calculation modes. A motion compensation prediction unit 64 performs motion compensation using motion vectors obtained for each calculation mode, thereby creating predicted images. The predicted images are output to a coding amount estimation unit 65. The coding amount estimation unit 65 estimates the coding amount of the subtraction image, which is the subtraction between the predicted image and the original image, for each calculation mode.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2006Publication date: March 22, 2007Inventors: Tsuyoshi Watanabe, Shinichiro Okada, Yasuo Ishii, Shigeyuki Okada, Hideki Yamauchi, Yuh Matsuda, Yoshihiro Matsuo, Haruhiko Murata
