  • Publication number: 20110159507
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for detecting the drug effects of DNA methylation inhibitors that detects the drug sensitivity of gene-expressing cells to DNA methylation inhibitors based on gene expression of a transcription factor (PU. 1) and/or gene expression of metallothionein (MT) that participates in differentiation to neutrophil and monocyte lines or based on DNA methylation in the metallothionein (MT) gene promotor region. Hematopoietic tumors can be treated effectively and specifically after predicting the effects of DNA methylation inhibitors on the hematopoietic tumor cells of myelodysplastic syndrome, acute myelocytic leukemia (AML), and other hematopoietic organ diseases, so therapeutic results are improved.

  • Patent number: 5698968
Abstract: To improve the resistance against external low-frequency disturbance (represented by generator output change), the power system stabilizer for a generator, for inputting a voltage regulating signal (e), as an auxiliary signal, to an automatic voltage regulator to control a generator terminal voltage at a target voltage (V.sub.o), comprises: an angular acceleration observer for calculating an estimated angular acceleration change rate (.DELTA.as) of the generator on the basis of at least one of stabilizing signal change rates (.DELTA.P and/or .DELTA..omega.) of the generator; and a power stabilizer circuit for calculating a corrected voltage regulating signal (e) applied to the automatic voltage regulator on the basis of the estimated angular acceleration change rate value (.DELTA.as) calculated by the angular acceleration observer. Further, it is preferable to provide a plurality of observers and a plurality of power stabilizer circuits, separately for each fluctuation frequency.

  • Patent number: 5615437
Abstract: In a floor-surface polisher in which floor-surface is polished by a pad which is mounted within a pad cover and rotated at a high speed by a motor during the traveling operation of the polisher, a floor-surface polisher equipped with a function for adjusting a pad pressure being characterized in that the pad is resiliently supported by a support force, the support force directing upwardly to separate the pad away from the floor-surface, a plurality of very small spaces being formed within the pad so that a drawing force for lowering the pad toward the floor-surface against the upwardly-directing support force will be generated during a high speed rotation of the pad, electric-current value setter for adjusting, either automatically or manually, an electric-current value of the motor to a pre-set value, the setter being mounted on a control portion of the pad motor.

  • Patent number: 5568025
Abstract: There is disclosed a device for detecting an abnormality in relays which is adapted such that if there is a current flow through a motor (M) when first and second transistors (Q1, Q2) are off resulting from an abnormality such as melting of first and second motor driving relays (RL1, RL2), a controller (1) turns on the transistors (Q1, Q2) of a motor driving portion (2) in response to a detection signal from a signal detecting portion (3) and accordingly provides the same potential across the motor (M) to stop the motor (M) without a conventionally complicated, costly construction.

  • Patent number: 5410227
Abstract: This invention aims to prevent an obstacle from being trapped between a vehicle window and a window frame. A supersonic wave f is emitted into a vehicle window W. A reflection wave i of the supersonic wave is received to decide whether the reflection wave i is one reflected from peripheral faces of a target to be detected or not. If the received reflection wave i is one reflected from the peripheral faces from the target, a driving motor M for the vehicle window W is stopped. Thus, when an obstacle contacts with the peripheral faces of the vehicle window, it is possible to previously prevent the obstacle from being caught by the window since a driving source for the vehicle window is stopped.

  • Patent number: 4691330
Abstract: A duty control circuit for controlling a duty factor in various industrial applications is proposed. It comprises a n-pulse counter, a m-pulse counter, another n-pulse counter, and a magnitude comparator. The magnitude comparator compares the count of the first counter with the count of the third counter and the duty control circuit gives a signal corresponding to ON when the former is larger than or equal to the latter and a signal corresponding to OFF when the former is smaller than the latter.

  • Patent number: 4686483
Abstract: A digital filter circuit includes first and second counters which set and reset a latch circuit at predetermined counts. Clock pulses and the input signal are passed through a gate circuit to the first counter which outputs a set signal to the latch circuit only if the input signal is maintained at a high level for the predetermined count. Clock pulses and the inverted input signal are passed through a gate circuit to the second counter which outputs a reset signal to the latch circuit only if the input signal is maintained at a low level for the predetermined count. In this manner noise pulses on the input signal are filtered out of the output signal obtained from the latch circuit.
