    Abstract: A vehicle lamp comprising a lens that includes an inner surface on which an antifogging coating film is formed and an outer surface on which a hard coating film is formed. It is preferable that the vehicle lamp further comprise a lamp body, wherein the lens further includes a lens front portion, a peripheral wall portion formed at the outer peripheral edge of the lens front portion, and a seal leg portion formed at the leading end of the peripheral wall portion and fixed to the lamp body, and wherein the antifogging coating film and the hard coating film are formed on at least the lens front portion excluding the seal the leg portion of the lens.

    Abstract: A vehicle lamp includes: a lamp chamber defined by a lamp body and a colorless transparent front lens; a light source disposed in the lamp chamber; and a printed sheet disposed inwardly of the front lens. The printed sheet includes a colorless transparent sheet main body of synthetic resin having a pattern consisting of a predetermined colored transparent layer printed on an internal surface of the front lens. The colored transparent layer and a convex three-dimensional colorless transparent layer are formed in a laminated fashion as a lower layer and an upper layer, respectively, on an external surface of the sheet main body. A plating-like printed layer and a light shielding layer are formed in a laminated fashion as a lower layer and an upper layer, respectively, on an internal surface of the sheet main body at a location matching the location of the convex three-dimensional colorless transparent layer.

    Abstract: A surface-coated, molded resin article for vehicles composed of a substrate (100) made of a resin, a plate layer (101) formed on the surface of the substrate (100) and coating films formed on the surface of the plate layer (101) wherein two or more different silicone-based coating films (102), (103) containing UV absorbers are laminated on each other. The lower coating film (102) is a light-reflective pearl film, while the upper coating film (103) is a film having a desired color. The UV rays are absorbed by the UV absorber contained in each coating film, to reduce the amount of UV rays that reach the interface between the plate layer 101 and the coating film 102, thus, peeling of the coating films can be effectively prevented. The lower coating film 102 reflects the external rays and provides a glossy appearance, thus contributing to the improvement in the appearance as a metallic coating.

    Abstract: A lamp for use in adverse conditions such as in a headlamp for a vehicle includes a coating for preventing mist, condensation or other haze from forming on a front lens and/or for preventing discoloration of the front lens caused by UV light emitted from a light source. The lamp has a discharge-lamp bulb serving as the light source, the discharge-lamp bulb being disposed in the lamp chamber. The lamp chamber can be defined by the lamp body and the front lens. The coating can comprise an anti-haze/UV film that is prepared by mixing a UV absorbing material with an anti-haze material.
