  • Publication number: 20070175849
Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To provide a rotating frame of an upper rotating body such that total productivity can be improved, the cost can be reduced, and model change can be facilitated. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Many models having different lifting capacities are divided into a plurality of classes each including a plurality of models. A rotating frame 17 is determined on the basis of the model having the largest lifting capacity in each class. An upper rotating body is constructed using the rotating frame 17 as the base. In addition, each of winches 5 to 7 is mounted on the rotating frame by using a mounting structure standardized in the same class. On the other hand, left and right deck frames 18 and 19 are divided into sections on which different pieces of equipment are mounted, and the sections are separately attached to the rotating frame 17.

  • Patent number: 7090203
Abstract: A carburetor for an internal combustion engine has an intake pipe having a throttle valve plate therein. An annular venturi tube is disposed upstream or downstream of the throttle valve plate inside the intake pipe. The annular venturi tube is located at a predetermined interval with the throttle valve plate. The annular venturi tube has a fine continuous annular slit or four or more annularly arranged fuel discharging pores so as to atomize the fuel thereat. Atomization is always carried out near a position where a fastest air moves so as to improve the atomization and a uniform air-fuel mixture, thereby improving an output, fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission of the internal combustion engine.

  • Publication number: 20060162979
Abstract: A mode changeover control system for a transmission wherein the starting of a vehicle can be prevented even if the transmission is changed over to the drive mode side while a side stand is in an erected position. In a motorcycle including a mode changeover mechanism for a continuously variable transmission, and a side stand, there is provided a changeover operation section changed over by the driver between operation positions corresponding respectively to a drive mode position and a neutral mode position of the mode changeover mechanism. An electronic control unit operates the mode changeover mechanism based on the changeover operation position of the changeover operation section. The control section is configured so as to continually maintain the mode changeover mechanism in the neutral mode position even if the changeover operation section is operated to a drive mode operation position while the side stand is in a stored position.

  • Patent number: 6546722
Abstract: A partitioning member for dividing a connecting pipe into at least two exhaust passageways is provided in the connecting pipe, which is attached to an exhaust side of a silencer. A valve mechanism is operable to vary the passageway area of one of the exhaust passageways. With this structure, for example, when an engine is rotating at low revs, exhaust gas is discharged from the exhaust passageway without the valve mechanism, while when the engine is rotating at high revs exhaust gas is simultaneously discharged from the exhaust passageway having no valve mechanism and a passageway provided with the valve mechanism. Therefore, it is possible to reduce exhaust noise when the engine is rotating at low revs.

  • Patent number: 6478386
Abstract: A control device for an antilock braking system is disclosed. When a target angle of a crankshaft provided to a servomotor of an ABS that is closer to a turning limit than to a predetermined updating stop angle, the target angle is set at the updating stop angle or the vicinity thereof. An expander piston is displaced to an open end side corresponding to the turning limit of the crankshaft by an elastic force of a return spring after being displaced to a position corresponding to an updating stop angle for the crankshaft or the vicinity thereof. This arrangement permits reliable, accurate displacement of the expander piston to a predetermined position corresponding to a turning limit of the crankshaft without causing the servomotor to consume needless electric current.

  • Patent number: 6428119
Abstract: An ABS return control device for retracting an expander piston to an ABS non-operation position by turning a crank mechanism by a servomotor includes a first procedure of driving the servomotor with a position precedent to a turning limit. At the turning limit, the movement of the crank mechanism is limited by a stopper member. A target angle and a second procedure of driving the servomotor by updating the target angle with the turning limit is further disclosed. The ABS return control device permits reduction of a conventional actuator in size and weight by controlling the kinetic energy of a positioning member of the crank mechanism turned by a servomotor at the time of collision against the stopper member.
