    Abstract: A rear console box in accordance with the present invention is for a vehicle. The vehicle includes a floor, seat rows on the floor, and an aisle between the seat rows. The rear console box is disposed in the aisle. The rear console box includes a console box body, a hinge configured to connect the console box body with respect to the floor and thereby allow the console box body to pivot between a horizontal position and a raised position. The horizontal position is in the aisle and is substantially horizontal relative to the floor. The raised position is outside the aisle and in front of the aisle. The rear console box also includes a support member configured to extend between the console box body and the floor. The support member supports the console box body and thereby holds the raised position of the console box body.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a lanthanum sulfide or cerium sulfide sintered compact usable as a thermoelectric conversion material having a high Seebeck coefficient. The sintered compact has a chemical composition of La2S3 or Ce2S3, and a crystal structure consisting of a mixture of beta and gamma phases having a Seebeck coefficient higher than that of the crystal structure otherwise being in gamma single-phase. The sintered compact is produced by preparing a beta-phase La2S3 or alpha-phase Ce2S3 powder of raw material having a high purity with a suppressed carbon impurity concentration and a given range of oxygen concentration, charging the raw material into a carbon die having an inner surface covered with an h-BN applied thereon, and hot-pressing the charged material under vacuum to form a mixture of beta and gamma phases having a high Seebeck coefficient.

In particular, a cooling device using a thermoelectric conversion material is provided. A cooling device for an electronic component includes a thermoelectric conversion material disposed between two electrodes that function as a cathode and an anode and are electrically short-circuited. The thermoelectric conversion material is either a p-type material or an n-type material or a combination of p-type and n-type materials arranged alternately in series. This cooling device is brought into contact with an electronic component requiring cooling so that one electrode side in contact with the thermoelectric conversion material becomes a low-temperature side and the other electrode side becomes a high-temperature side.

    Abstract: A refrigerator-freezer is described, in which refrigerant leakage from the refrigeration cycle can be safely detected. The refrigerator-freezer comprises: a refrigeration cycle formed by a compressor, a capillary, an evaporator and an accumulator connected in series, and filled with a flammable refrigerant; a cooling fan configured to blow the cold air cooled by the evaporator in the refrigerator-freezer; and a refrigerant leakage detection system configured to detect leakage of the flammable refrigerant, wherein the refrigerant leakage detection system is provided with a temperature sensor configured to measure the temperature of a refrigerant conduit of the evaporator and judges that the flammable refrigerant is leaking in the low pressure side of the refrigeration cycle when the temperature is detected by the temperature sensor with the compressor being halted is no lower than a predetermined temperature.

The jet flow nozzles are disposed, so as to incline in a direction to face each other so that the angle of inclination is 15.degree. to 60.degree. from the horizontal direction of the strip surface.

    Abstract: A refrigerator has a main body. A compressor is provided in the bottom portion of the body, and a receiving box for housing electric appliances is arranged in the body above the compressor. A thermosiphon for conveying the heat from the compressor to the receiving box is provided in the body. The thermosiphon includes a heat receiving portion located in the vicinity of the compressor, an upper portion located in the vicinity of the receiving box, an advancing path extending from the heat receiving portion to the upper portion, and a returning path extending from the upper portion to the heat receiving portion. The upper portion is adhered to the body by a tape of aluminum foil, thereby having heat radiation efficiency higher than that of the advancing portion.
