  • Patent number: 9969585
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a hopper which is provided with a mounting surface on which a medium is set, and which is provided to be capable of swinging between a first posture in which the mounting surface of the medium is in a fallen state, and a second posture in which the mounting surface is in an uplifted state, a first pathway that delivers rolled paper, as the medium, to the hopper from an upstream side thereof, a second pathway that delivers cut form paper, as the medium, to the hopper from an upstream side thereof, and a first sensor that detects the medium in the first pathway, wherein the hopper swings from the first posture in a direction that assumes the second posture on the basis of detection of the medium by the first sensor.

  • Publication number: 20180004144
Abstract: A moving-side roller reliably separates from a stationary-side roller so as to enable appropriate document transport. An image reading apparatus causes a roller support member supporting the moving-side roller to come into contact with the stationary-side roller. A contact state and a separation state can be switched. The image reading apparatus includes an external force providing portion to exert a third external force on the roller support member in a direction for restraining warping that is generated in the roller support member by a first external force that a cam exerts on the roller support member and by a second external force that an urging device exerts on the roller support member.

  • Patent number: 9573781
Abstract: A feed device includes a feed roller, a transport roller pair provided further to the downstream side in the transport direction of a sheet than the feed roller, a first motor by which the feed roller is driven, and a second motor by which the transport roller pair is driven, and in which a controller that controls the first motor, and performs a skew removal operation accompanying reverse transport of the sheet by the transport roller pair causes a reverse current and a hold current as suppression currents that suppress the reverse transport amount of the feed roller to the reverse transport amount of the transport roller pair or less to flow to the first motor in at least a part of the skew removal operation.

  • Patent number: 9415609
Abstract: A recording apparatus includes a recording head that performs recording on a medium, a carriage that reciprocates in a predetermined direction, and an operation panel that has a predetermined operation function. The carriage and the operation panel are adjacent to each other. The operation panel overlaps at least a portion of the carriage in a height direction of the recording apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20110221120
Abstract: A medium feeding device is provided in order to address the problem of double feeding which occur when feeding media to be fed having different hardness. A medium feeding device includes an arm that supports a feeding roller and a placement section wherein a portion of the placement section that opposes the feeding roller is displaceable in directions to come into contact with and be separated from the feeding roller. The medium feeding device is configured such that, when the feeding roller receives a force from the medium as a reaction force against a force acting on the medium by the feeding roller, which causes the arm to move in a direction that causes the feeding roller to move toward the medium, the portion of the placement section is displaced if a pressing force of the feeding roller against the medium exceeds a predetermined amount of force.
