  • Patent number: 7959534
Abstract: When a sub transmission mechanism is switched to the LO-side gear stage, a hybrid control unit executes a control operation such that vehicle speed does not exceed limit vehicle speed determined in advance in accordance with the transmission gear ratio of LO-side gear stage. Specifically, the hybrid control unit reduces at least one of the driving torque generated by the engine and the second motor generator, so that rotation speed of the second motor generator does not exceed tolerable rotation speed. Further, the hybrid control unit reduces at least one of the driving torque generated by the engine and the second motor generator when any of temperatures respectively detected by temperature sensors exceed corresponding upper limit temperatures.

  • Patent number: 6149546
Abstract: A control system for an automatic transmission including a range switching mechanism for switching a shift range by electric means. It is detected that the switching of the shift range has been instructed by the range switching mechanism. It is decided that a gear change will occur according to the instructed switching of the shift range. It is decided that the decided gear change can be executed. The range switching of the shift range is inhibited, when it is not decided that the gear change is allowed.

  • Patent number: 5505670
Abstract: A lockup clutch of an automatic transmission is controlled so that no shock is produced while the vehicle is running within a predetermined gear stage. The automatic transmission includes a fluid coupling; a lockup clutch provided in the fluid coupling; a shift selector for selecting a range; a vehicle speed sensor for detecting vehicle speed, and a throttle opening sensor for detecting throttle opening. A control unit determines a gear stage in accordance with the selected range, the vehicle speed and the throttle opening, decides a shift, produces a shifting output signal, decides ON or OFF for the lockup clutch in accordance with the selected range, the vehicle speed and the throttle opening, and produces a lockup ON/OFF output signal. An oil pressure circuit actuates solenoid valves in response to the shifting output signal and the lockup ON/OFF output signal of the control unit.
