  • Patent number: 8009997
Abstract: An image forming apparatus, which comprises a toner density detection device for detecting the density of a toner inside a developing device, acquires the number of pixels from inputted image information, calculates the toner replenishment amount from the toner density detection value and the information on the pixels, and thereby performs replenishment control so that excessive replenishment or insufficient replenishment of the toner is not caused. The upper limit value of the amount of toner to be replenished at once to the developing device is changed in accordance with the amount of information on an input image such as the image area, pixels of the input image.

  • Publication number: 20100332091
Abstract: During a non-shift operation when a predetermined gear of an automatic transmission is kept, a hydraulic control unit increases an engagement hydraulic pressure to a friction engagement device associated with the gear formation by a predetermined hydraulic pressure with respect to a line hydraulic pressure. Therefore, in comparison with a case where a hydraulic pressure equivalent to the line hydraulic pressure is set as an engagement hydraulic pressure to the friction engagement device for obtaining a hydraulic pressure equivalent to the line hydraulic pressure, shift response (hydraulic pressure response) variations when shifting from a non-shift state (steady state) into a shift state are suppressed by the margin of the predetermined hydraulic pressure. In addition, in comparison with a case where the engagement hydraulic pressure to the friction engagement device is set to a maximum hydraulic pressure to reduce the response variations, power consumption of each linear solenoid valve is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7809291
Abstract: An image forming apparatus in which a predetermined image density can be obtained by correcting a toner density control target value without consuming toner. The output value Vt of the magnetic permeability sensor and the target output value Vtref are compared, and the toner density is controlled by controlling a powder pump on the basis of the comparative result thereof so that the output value Vt approximates the target output value Vtref. In addition, the target output value Vtref is corrected on the basis of the detected result of the image coverage ratio so as to maintain a predetermined development potential of the development apparatus. By virtue of this, even when image forming that involves a significant change in the toner replacement amount in the development apparatus is performed, for example, even when an image of high image coverage ratio is output, the toner density is adjusted to maintain the development capability at a constant, and a predetermined image density is ensured.

  • Publication number: 20100250048
Abstract: An engine fuel diagnosis device is disclosed that diagnoses whether an unexpected fuel is being used in an internal combustion engine. The fuel diagnosis device includes an inclination detecting section, a first estimating section, an acceleration detecting section, and a diagnosing section. The first estimating section computes a first estimated acceleration, which is a vehicle acceleration obtained when fuel injection is executed in the internal combustion engine while the vehicle is traveling uphill or downhill, based on an engine power, which is estimated based on the engine operation state on the assumption that a previously expected fuel is being used, and the inclination detected by the inclination detecting section. The diagnosing section computes a first deviation degree indicating the degree of deviation between the first estimated acceleration and the actual acceleration detected when the first estimated acceleration is computed.
