  • Patent number: 7520737
Abstract: The present invention is a fluid machine constituted so as to close moving spaces communicating with an intake opening by at least one pair of members, move them toward a discharge opening and discharge fluid sucked into the intake opening from the discharge opening. The members are arranged so as to form a specific clearance at a position where they are closest to each other, and a leakage prevention mechanism consisting of short fibers is provided on at least one side surface of the members closing the moving spaces.

  • Patent number: 7445437
Abstract: A scroll type fluid machine includes a housing, a first scroll unit arranged rotatably in the housing and a second scroll unit rotating with rotation of the first scroll unit and gyrating relative to the first scroll unit to vary volumes of compression spaces. The first scroll unit includes a first wrap group including two end plates with support shafts supported rotatably by the housing and scrolled wraps arranged uniformly. The second scroll unit includes a cylindrical outer peripheral ring portion held slidably between the end plates of the first scroll unit, a connection block portion located in a center portion and a second wrap group having plural scrolled wraps extending from the ring portion to the connection block portion to define insertion spaces into which the wraps of the first wrap group are inserted and, with the first wrap group, forming compression spaces.

  • Patent number: 6179590
Abstract: A scroll mounting member for mounting a drive scroll therein is secured to the left end of a drive shaft coupled to a motor. A rotary bearing is fitted on the outer periphery of the scroll mounting member, and its outer periphery is secured to a scroll housing. The scroll mounting member is disposed for rotation in the scroll housing and is secured to the drive shaft. A bearing retainer for holding the rotary bearing is mounted by bolts via a spring in a mounting portion of the scroll housing. The rotary bearing is adjustable in the thrust direction at the scroll housing. By turning bolts, the rotary bearing is either advanced in the thrust direction via the bearing retainer or retreated, via the bearing retainer and a spring, which, together with the bolts, form an adjusting device. A self-lubricating sleeve seal is axially slidably fitted in an end portion of a driven scroll mounting member.

  • Patent number: 5823756
Abstract: In a scroll fluid discharging apparatus including a stationary scroll and a revolving scroll, each of the mutually engaging laps and of these scrolls and each has a first lap portion without a tip seal in contact with the mirror-finished opposed scroll surface, thus providing an empty tip seal groove space, the first lap portion covering a predetermined lap length from the edge of the lap on the peripheral side thereof toward the central side. Each of the mutually engaging laps of the scroll also has a second lap portion with a tip seal in contact with the mirror-finished opposed scroll surface, the second lap portion having the remaining lap range from the first lap portion being neighboring each other up to the central side lap edge. Compressed fluid is discharged under a higher discharge pressure than in the prior art with the same drive motor rating and at the same motor rpm as in the prior art.
