  • Publication number: 20210323085
Abstract: Intended is to improve the corrosion resistance of an overlay used in a nuclear power plant, and to reduce dissolution of cobalt from an overlay. The corrosion and wear resistant overlay 7 is formed along a surface of a base 2 by laser lamination modeling, and is configured from a plurality of metal layers 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d of a Co-base alloy. The thickness of carbide eutectics that precipitate in the metal layers 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d is the largest in the metal layer 1a closest to the base 2, and is gradually smaller in the metal layers 1b, 1c, and 1d farther away from the base 2. The intensity of the laser beam applied to form layers by laser lamination modeling is adjusted so that the carbide eutectics that precipitate in at least the outermost metal layer 1d have a controlled size of 10 ?m or less.

  • Patent number: 8234044
Abstract: A steering control section has a first steering angle correction amount calculating section, a second steering angle correction amount calculating section, and a motor rotational angle calculating section. The first correction amount calculating section calculates a first correction amount based on a vehicle speed and an actual steering wheel angle. The second correction amount calculating section calculates a second correction amount through multiplying a control gain corresponding to the vehicle speed with a value calculated by low-pass filtering a differential value of steering wheel angle. The motor rotational angle calculating section calculates a motor rotational angle corresponding to the value adding the first and second steering angle correction amount, and outputs it to a motor driving section so as to drive an electric motor for correcting the steering angle. Thereby, an unstable vehicle behavior due to a resonance of a yaw motion caused in the steering operation can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7995302
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention improve the safety against a fall of a disk drive device. In one embodiment, when an HDD has recognized detection result data of a fall sensor to indicate a fall, the HDD unloads a head slider from above a disk to a stand-by position. The HDD checks whether or not the detection result data of the fall sensor indicates a fall on the occasion of a seek start. If the data indicates a fall, the controller unloads an actuator. The HDD issues a seek fake error on the occasion of a seek completion. On the occasion of a re-seek start in the error recovery process, the HDD conducts a fall check referring to the detection result data.

  • Patent number: 7375917
Abstract: When an idle seek operation of a magnetic disk drive is executed under a velocity control utilizing a back electromotive force of a VCM actuator, the accuracy of the velocity control is deteriorated due to temperature variation of the VCM. To eliminate this disadvantage, a calibration of the velocity control is executed by using control information, such as a track number read from the magnetic disk medium. After the velocity control has been executed for an appointed period, by detecting the back electromotive force from the VCM actuator, an MR sense current and a power of a read write LSI are turned on for a time, positioning information on the magnetic disk medium is read out, parameters to be used for the velocity control are calibrated, and thus a stability of the control can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 7318322
Abstract: A rack-mount server system of a liquid cooling system, in which a heat-generating component such as a CPU is cooled by a coolant has a plurality of server modules with heat-generating components which are cooled by the circulating coolant. The server modules are connected in parallel to a circulation coolant path through which the coolant to cool the server modules is circulated. In the middle of the coolant circulation path is a cooling unit that cools the coolant by radiating its heat to the outside air. Furthermore, a bypass route parallel to the server modules and going around the server modules is provided in the coolant circulation path, and the circulation quantity of the coolant is controlled in the bypass route. Alternatively, the flow quantity of the coolant is controlled in each of the server modules.
