  • Patent number: 7407441
Abstract: A constant velocity joint includes an outer race having a plurality of ball grooves formed in an inner spherical surface thereof, which ball grooves extend in a direction of a rotation axis of the outer race, an inner once having a plurality of ball grooves formed in an outer spherical surface thereof, which ball grooves extend in a direction of a rotation axis of the inner race and are paired with the ball grooves of the outer race, and a plurality of balls disposed between the ball grooves of the outer race and the ball grooves of the inner race. In the constant velicity joint, the ball grooves of at least one of the outer race and the inner race are partially formed with relief profiles to provide a plurality of relief groove portions such that a load applied to each of the balls located in the relief groove portions during torque transmission between the inner race and the outer race is smaller than a load applied to each of the balls located in the other portions of the ball grooves.

  • Publication number: 20070116285
Abstract: A method for processing a communication data item. The communication data item is divided into at least two unencrypted packets to be encrypted. Each encrypted packet is generated from a corresponding unencrypted packet. Each unencrypted packet has a packet header and plaintext data. The packet header has an identifier field that includes a packet identifier. The packet identifier is identical for all unencrypted packets. Generating an encrypted packet for each unencrypted packet includes: determining a vector identifier from the identical packet identifier, wherein the vector identifier is associated with the identical packet identifier; ascertaining an initial vector from the vector identifier; and forming an encrypted packet header by inserting the vector identifier into a first portion of the packet header and encrypting a second portion of the packet header through use of the initial vector. The encrypted packets are subsequently decrypted and combined to reconstruct the communication data item.

  • Patent number: 6170016
Abstract: A content collection part compares the transmission rate (TD) inputted from a transmission rate monitoring part with a threshold value (C−&agr;) in response to a start operation by a user. When a condition TD<(C−&agr;) is satisfied, the content collection part starts an automatic content collection part to perform a background process to collect URL contents which were set up beforehand from a Web server. When the user designates URL contents, the content collection part controls the automatic content collection part to terminate the background process and enters a foreground process to collect the designated URL contents.
