  • Patent number: 6522855
Abstract: A developing apparatus for use in an image forming apparatus includes a developer bearing member having a magnetic field generating device internally and configured to bear and convey two-component developer including toner and magnetic carrier, a first regulating member configured to regulate an amount of the developer born and conveyed by the developer bearing member, a developer container section for storing the developer scraped off by the first regulating member, a second regulating member arranged upstream of the first regulating member in a conveying direction of the developer on the developer bearing member, and a toner container section for supplying toner to the developer bearing member. The developing apparatus changes a toner take-in condition of the developer on the developer bearing member by changing a contact condition between the developer and the toner according to a change of a toner density of the developer on the developer bearing member.

  • Publication number: 20020108536
Abstract: An agent for stabilizing air content of hydraulic cement compositions includes graft copolymers obtained by a first step in which copolymers with average numerical molecular weight 5000-50000 are obtained by radical polymerization of a mixture of radical polymerizable monomers containing anhydrous maleic acid and monomers of a specified form, together in an amount of 80 molar % or more and at molar ratio of 40/60-60/40 and a second step in which graft copolymers are obtained by a graft reaction of 100 weight parts of the copolymers obtained in the first step and 7-60 weight parts of polyoxyalkylene monoalkylether and/or polyoxyalkylene monoalkenylether with a block addition of a total of 23-70 moles of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide per 1 mole of aliphatic alcohol with 8-20 carbon atoms. A hydraulic cement composition is produced with cement, aggregates, water, a cement dispersant, an agent for controlling air content and contains an agent for stabilizing air content as described above in the amount of 0.

  • Publication number: 20020021919
Abstract: A development apparatus including a development agent carrying member, a toner container, an initial development agent container, a flexible member, and a stopper. The toner container has an opening facing the development agent carrying member. The initial development agent container is sealed when the apparatus is in an initially-unused condition and includes a mechanism for supply the initial development agent to the development agent carrying member when the apparatus is initially used. The flexible member rotates to cyclically transfer the toner to the development agent carrying member via the opening. The stopper locates the flexible member at a closed position where the opening is closed. The flexible member initially locates at the closed position and releases the opening when the development agent is present on a surface of the development agent carrying member in turn facing the opening.

  • Patent number: 6337957
Abstract: A developing device includes a developer bearing member including an internal magnetic field generating device and configured such that a surface thereof moves to carry and convey a developer including toner and carrier. A developer regulating member regulates a quantity of the developer carried and conveyed by the developer bearing member toward a developing area, and a developer accommodating unit accommodates the developer regulated to be conveyed toward the developing area by the developer regulating member. A toner accommodating unit includes a toner supplying opening opposing a surface of the developer bearing surface of the developer bearing member at a position adjacent to and upstream of the developer accommodating unit in a developer conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 6198895
Abstract: A developing device for an image forming apparatus includes a developer carrier such as a developing sleeve having a magnetic field generating device therein which carries and conveys a developer containing toner and magnetic carrier particles. The developing device also includes a first regulating member such as a blade which regulates the developer being carried and conveyed by the developer carrier, and a developer storing section stores developer scraped off the developer carrier by the first regulating member. The developer storing section includes a second regulating member arranged upstream of the first regulating member with respect to a direction in which the developer carrier conveys the developer. The developing device further includes a toner storing section provided adjacent to the developer storing section to supply toner to the developer carrier.

  • Patent number: 6141521
Abstract: The invention relates to an image forming device and method therefor solving the subject matter that, if the linear speed of the developing solution carrier for that of the latent image carrier is lowered in order to secure the development capacity, the line image is deteriorated and there occurs a troublesome matter such as the blanking at the halftone rear edge. Such image forming device of the present invention is provided with a two-component magnetic brush type developing apparatus in which the developing bias composed of the DC bias and the AC bias superposed thereon is applied to the developing apparatus, and the latent image formed on the latent image carrier is developed with the two-component developing solution including the magnetic toner and the magnetic carrier. In the image forming device, the magnetic substance including percentage of the magnetic toner is set to 5 wt %.about.35 wt %.
