  • Patent number: 10479625
Abstract: A sheet feeding apparatus can perform appropriate separation corresponding to the type of sheet without an actuator which changes the separation action of a separation unit. For this purpose, a separation unit includes a first inclined part and a second inclined part, each having different inclination angles, and selects, in accordance with the type (stiffness, thickness, or the like) of sheet to be fed, either one of the first inclined part or the second inclined part as an inclined part used in separating sheets by lifting/lowering a tray, and separates sheets, so that appropriate separation can be performed in accordance with the type of sheet with a simple configuration.

  • Publication number: 20180111771
Abstract: There is provided a sheet feeding apparatus which can perform appropriate separation corresponding to the type of a sheet without being newly provided with an actuator which changes the separation action of a separation unit. For this purpose, a separation unit 105 includes a first inclined part 105a-1 and a second inclined part 105a-2 each having different inclination angles, and selects, in accordance with the type (stiffness, thickness, or the like) of a sheet to feed, either one of the first inclined part 105a-1 or the second inclined part 105a-2 as an inclined part used in separating sheets by lifting/lowering a tray 101, and separates sheets, so that appropriate separation can be performed in accordance with the type of a sheet with a simple configuration.

  • Patent number: 8336985
Abstract: An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a platen provided with a suction-collection section which sucks in and collects ink discharged deviating from an end portion of recording medium. The ink-jet recording apparatus includes a suction force generation unit for collecting ink configured to enable the suction collection section to generate a suction force, a collection flow path connecting the suction collection section to the suction force generation unit for collection, and a flow path control unit configured to vary an sectional area of the collection flow path. The sectional area of the collection flow path is varied according to an image forming time or a type of the recording medium.
