  • Publication number: 20030197437
Abstract: The invention concerns with connection of a lead from an electrical component of an alternator for a vehicle, and provides a terminal shape suitable for TIG welding (arc welding using a gas shielded non-consumable electrode) without being affected by dimensional accuracy of terminals to be connected to each other. Cross-shaped projections having a larger volume than a welded region of the terminal is provided near the welded region, and weld penetration (welding depth) is controlled based on a difference in heat capacity resulting from the volume difference, or melting is suppressed with promotion of heat radiation. Thus, the welding depth is stabilized without being affected by dimensional accuracy of the terminals including relative positions between them, and an alternator for a vehicle can be provided in which a lead from an electrical component has high connection reliability.

  • Publication number: 20030127920
Abstract: An automotive alternator comprises: a stator provided with a stator coil; a rotor supported for rotation in the stator to apply an alternative magnetic field to the stator; a regulator for regulating output; a rectifier for rectifying generated current; a plurality of housings holding the stator and the rotor; and a coolant path through which a coolant flows through at least one of the plurality of housings to transfer heat generated in the stator coil outside the automotive alternator. Fastening devices formed of a material having good heat conductance fasten the regulator and a heatsink for the regulator together to the housing at a position apart from the housing to transfer heat generated by the regulator to the housing. Thus, the automotive alternator can maintain a stable cooling ability in a hot atmosphere for a long time.

  • Publication number: 20010017500
Abstract: To reduce noise, there is provided an alternator for motor vehicles having a rotor and a stator which is mounted between a pair of brackets. In the alternator a stator core forming the stator is made up of laminations of thin sheets. And at least a part of the thin sheets making up the stator core are split into four divisions or more in the circumferential direction; the thin sheets of each layer being laid with splits thereof arranged alternately in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 6149744
Abstract: Method of making a hot-rolled steel sheet having superior surface appearance, free of surface patterns and uneven glossiness from an austenitic stainless steel slab containing about 0.03 percent by weight or more of Cu, about 0.03 percent by weight or more of V, and about 0.01 percent by weight or more of Mo under any of the following conditions: (A) pickling in a nitric-hydrofluoric acid solution containing about 20 to 100 g/l of nitric acid and about 100 to 300 g/l of hydrofluoric acid; (B) controlling nitric-hydrofluoric acid content in response to the iron ion content in the solution; (C) a preliminary pickling step prior to finishing pickling; (D) grinding about 2 .mu.m or more of the surface after preliminary pickling and prior to finishing pickling; (E) causing counterflow with a relative flow rate of 0.5 to 5.

  • Patent number: 5287742
Abstract: A plurality of probes 3 or 10 are arranged in a conveying path of a web 1 or 9 comprising a slit sheet or a nonwoven fabric for contact with the web 1 or 9. The probes 3 or 10 are rotatably supported and arranged so that if a defect portion exists in the web 1 or 9, the probes 3 or 10 rotate to the defect portion of the web and protrude under the web, and when the probes 3 or 10 protrude under the web, a detecting means 6b outputs a defect detection signal.

  • Patent number: 4499449
Abstract: A speed setting device for an industrial sewing machine comprises a lever pivotally mounted at one end thereof on a stationary wall and adapted to be pivotally moved in response to the foot pedal of the sewing machine. An arm is pivotally mounted at one end to the stationary wall and operatively engaged with the lever so that they rotate in unison about respective pivot points thereof. The pivot point of the second member is between the lever pivot point and the engagement point between the lever and arm. Thereby, the arm is rotated through an angle greater than the angle through which the lever is rotated in response to the angular displacement of the foot pedal. An angular displacement sensor detects the angular displacement of the arm to generate a speed setting signal.
