Abstract: An electrode to be used for a battery, the electrode including: a current collector, a first electrode layer arranged on the current collector, and a second electrode layer arranged on the first electrode layer, wherein the first electrode layer includes a first active material, and a first binder covering a surface of the first active material; the second electrode layer includes a second active material, and a second binder covering a surface of the second active material; and when C1 (%) designates a coverage of the first binder with respect to the first active material, and C2 (%) designates a coverage of the second binder with respect to the second active material, the C1 is larger than the C2.

Abstract: A main object of the present disclosure is to provide an electrode capable of reducing the resistance of a battery and also capable of improving resistance to high temperature storage. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing an electrode to be used for a battery, the electrode including a current collector and an electrode layer, wherein the electrode layer includes layers in the order of a first layer and a second layer; the first layer contains a first binder, the second layer contains a second binder, and a degree of swelling of the first binder is lower than a degree of swelling of the second binder.

Abstract: A semiconductor device manufacturing method includes: forming a first pattern in a first film to be processed on a semiconductor substrate; measuring a first distance, which is a dimension in a predetermined direction in the first pattern; forming a second film to be processed on the first pattern; forming a second pattern in a photoresist formed on the second film to be processed; and measuring a second distance, which is a dimension in a predetermined direction in the second pattern. Whether or not the second pattern is defective is determined based on either the first distance or a value calculated from the first and second distances.
