  • Publication number: 20220150915
Abstract: A plurality of schedulers each corresponding to one or more slices perform, in a same cell formed by one RU, scheduling of radio resources for a UE that uses a corresponding slice. A RAN controller identifies, for each of a plurality of schedulers, an amount of radio resources required for each scheduler in a predetermined period T, based on an amount of data and a communication quality of wireless communication by the UE in the cell. The RAN controller further allocates, to each of the plurality of schedulers, the identified amount of radio resources and a margin of radio resources that can be used for the scheduling.

  • Publication number: 20210367721
Abstract: A plurality of DUs have at least a radio resource scheduling function among functions of a base station and each correspond to one or more slices. The plurality of CUs are each connected between a different DU among of the plurality of DUs and a core network, and each has, among the functions of the base station, a upper layer function than a function that the DU has. A radio unit (RU) has at least a radio wave transmission/reception function among the functions of the base station, and is deployed at an antenna site. The RU is connected with a plurality of DUs, and a plurality of slices provided through the plurality of DU are provided in the same cell formed by the RU 30.

  • Publication number: 20210298031
Abstract: A control apparatus identifies a first communication requirement and identifies a second communication requirement which is an alternative candidate to the first communication requirement on the basis of a service requirement received from a user, identifies an amount of resource requested for the first communication requirement and the second communication requirement, notifies the user of information indicating the second communication requirement and information relating to the amount of the resource identified for each of the first communication requirement and the second communication requirement, receives a selection of the first communication requirement or the second communication requirement by the user, and executes control to secure the resource amount identified for the communication requirement selected by the user.

  • Patent number: 9900045
Abstract: A base station system according to an aspect of the invention includes a baseband unit (BBU) and a radio frequency (RF) unit (RFU) connected to the BBU via a communication line. The RFU (BBU) measures the frequencies of occurrence of sampled values indicated by sampled data that is a digital signal corresponding to a baseband signal to be transmitted to the BBU (RFU), and generates a frequency distribution representing a relationship between the sampled value having occurred and the frequency of occurrence. Furthermore, the RFU (BBU) determines a plurality of thresholds for compressing the sampled data, which are used for quantization processing of the sampled value, in accordance with the generated frequency distribution, and compresses the sampled data by the quantization processing using the plurality of thresholds.

  • Patent number: 7366135
Abstract: The present invention provides a radio channel assignment method where each node in a network assigns radio channels to respective radio links in a decentralized manner without inconsistency. The radio channel assignment method includes a step of assigning one of a pair of nodes terminating each radio link and the other thereof to an upper side and a lower side (Step S1), and a step that each radio node located to the upper side from at least one of radio links terminating at an own node assigns a frequency slot different from that of an adjacent link to a radio link locating an own node to the upper side (Step S5).
