  • Patent number: 6557109
Abstract: A synchronizing device and a synchronizing method whose constitution is simple and whose operation is easy to be stabilized are provided. A subtracter subtracts a value of a read pointer which calculates number of data read-out from a memory device from a value of a write pointer which calculates number of data written in the memory device to obtain subtraction value, thus causing the subtraction value to be given to a judging unit as detection data remaining quantity. The judging unit outputs comparison result signal while comparing detection data remaining quantity with reference value. A number of data increasing/decreasing unit receives data from a decoder for decoding data of the memory device. The number of data increasing/decreasing unit causes remaining quantity of data of the memory device to be prescribed value with data reading-out speed of the memory device controlled in such a way that it controls quantity of data outputted, while replying to comparison result signal from the judging unit.

  • Patent number: 6538999
Abstract: A PID (Packet Identifier) filter circuit includes a FIFO (First-in, First-out) memory. Filtering may be performed irrespective of the length of the PID and irrespective of whether the position of the PID is fixed in the packet. The circuit includes a comparison value table for storing therein comparison values, and a comparator for taking comparison values successively from the comparison value table and for comparing value of the PID in the input packet data with the comparison values on a word by word basis. A FIFO memory stores input packet data. The FIFO memory does not implement a read operation until the input packet data is determined to contain desired data based on its PID. If the input packet data is determined not to contain desired data, any portion of the input packet data already stored in the FIFO is superseded.

  • Patent number: 6354825
Abstract: A fluid compressor comprising a helical blade type compression mechanism that includes a cylinder, a roller arranged inside the cylinder and a helical blade interposed between the roller and the cylinder. The blade, the roller and the cylinder are formed of materials whose coefficients of thermal expansion satisfy relationships: Blade>Roller>Cylinder. According to this invention, pressure release can be easily performed in the case where the liquid flows back or under a low-temperature condition as at the time of actuation. In addition, the compression performance can be improved under a high-temperature condition during operation.

  • Publication number: 20010053235
Abstract: A VLD decodes MPEG2 data so as to generate RUN and Level therefrom. A multiplication unit multiplies target data to be added to the Level, and sends a multiplied result to an adder. The adder adds the target data to the Level. The VLC codes the MPEG2 data, using the RUN and the Level to which the target data is added. The selector compares the data length of the MPEG2 data which has been decoded by the VLC with the data length of the original MPEG2 data. If those data lengths coincide with each other, the selector selects the MPEG2 data output by the VLC. On the contrary, if those data lengths do not coincide with each other, the selector selects and outputs the original MPEG2 data. A counter counts the number of times the selector has done the selection, while another counts the number of times the selector has selected the data output by the VLC. The comparator compares the counted values of both of the counters, and adjusts the insertion degree based on a result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 6192425
Abstract: In an interrupt line sharing circuit for a personal computer system, which has a plurality of instruments and one common interrupt line provided in common to the plurality of instruments, a personal computer executes a predetermined I/O access at each time the personal computer has completed an interrupt processing. Each of the plurality of instruments comprises an I/O monitoring circuit for monitoring whether or not the predetermined I/O access has been performed, and an interrupt line monitoring circuit monitoring the common interrupt line, for judging that an interrupt processing has been started if an interrupt request has been sent onto the common interrupt line from one of the instruments. The interrupt line monitoring circuit also judges that the interrupt processing has been completed when the I/O monitoring circuit detects the predetermined I/O access.

  • Patent number: 5916460
Abstract: A laser device dices a substrate by generating a continuous wave-oscillation laser beam 3 that is converged by a lens 4 and focused at a predetermined focus O between the surface of the substrate 1 and a tip of a nozzle of a guide 5. Then, the focus is expanded to result in a laser beam 3a having a beam spot diameter of S at the surface of the substrate 1. A flow of assist gas G.sub.0, G.sub.1, G.sub.2 having a predetermined constant pressure is supplied from a gas intake 6 surrounding the laser beam 3. As the laser beam 3a is defocused, the beam spot diameter S is expanded and its energy distribution is moderated. The gas is blown onto the substrate 1 at constant pressure in order to suppress generation of strains due to thermal deformation.

  • Patent number: 5273410
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor for using HFC 134a as a refrigerant and a refrigerator oil such as polyether type oil, polyester type oil, or the like which is compatible thereto is disclosed. The refrigerant compressor has a iron type substrate with a compound layer mainly made of iron sulfide on sliding portions such as sliding parts and shaft in the compression mechanism. The sliding parts in the compression mechanism are a cylinder and a rotor and a piston which are moving parts. In a rotary type compressor, the sliding parts are a blade and so forth. The hardness of the compound layer mainly made of the aforementioned iron sulfide is large and thereby effectively preventing metals from being contacted and preventing adhesive abrasion which is the primary cause of the abrasion of the sliding portions.
