    Abstract: In a bladed rotor of the kind in which each blade has curved side surfaces and having fingers fitted in depressions of a shell and an opening of a core, the depressions of the shell and the opening of the core for receiving therein corresponding fingers of the blades are shaped and arranged so as to have, with respect to an elevational view of the rotor, longitudinal axes which coincide with straight lines extending radially through the center of the rotor, respectively. A die assembly for forming such depressions or openings in the shell or core is also provided. In such a die assembly, first and second die sections are adjustable in relative circumferential position for thereby adjusting the relative circumferential position relationship between the first and second groups of depressions or openings in the shell or core to be produced.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a clutch drum for a multiple plate clutch assembly is disclosed. The clutch drum comprises a tubular body having a large diameter tubular section and a small diameter tubular section. An end plug is secured to the small diameter tubular section and has a tubular flange fit on the outer surface of the small diameter tubular section. The tubular flange is formed with axially extending slots. First clutch plates are disposed in the large diameter section and splined to the large diameter tubular section. Second clutch plates are disposed around the small diameter tubular section and engaged with axially extending slots of the tubular flange of the end plug. A clutch piston is slidably disposed in the small diameter tubular section.

    Abstract: In a wet type multiple disc clutch for automatic transmission, a series of driving discs or plates and driven plates rotate on a clutch hub of a hollow cylinder. This clutch hub is made by press forming, and has at least one cut portion with which inward projections formed in the driving plates are engaged so that the driving plates rotate together with the clutch hub. The clutch hub is further provided with an inwardly projecting annular barrier member fit in the internal circumference of the clutch hub for directing lubricating oil through the cut portion to the friction surfaces of the driving plates and the driven plates by preventing the oil from spreading away. For example, this barrier member may take the form of a snap ring retained in an annular groove formed in the internal circumference of the clutch hub, or a cylindrical member with an inward flange inserted into the clutch hub.
